I cannot trust my GP
I have had a GP for 8 yrs who used to categorize everything as depression or anxiety or uncurable or everyone gets it. I used to have gut issue and my GP would just tell me that is normal thing. And I should change my diet I had given up on NHS. I had stopped visiting my GP altogether. However

Advice on Blood results please?
Hi, I'm not diagnosed with any thyroid problems but have had numerous blood tests over the last 4 years because of severe menopause symptoms that have not responded to HRT. Would you be able to have a look and see what you think please? I have also included some of the vitamins tested.

increasing T3 advice
Hello, My endo has told me this week to increase from 5mcg T3 to 7.5mcg and if that feels ok / no palpitations after a week to go up to 10mcg. I’m also on levo 150 and have been told to go up to 175 at weekends. I posted my recent blood results on Monday. All vits tested December and optimal. Iron

Peripheral neuropathy and neurology's response
Hi. I've posted a couple of times recently so I'll start with a precise and then my ask! I was diagnosed with Vitamin B12 deficiency in 2015 - I wasn't tested for PA. I have self-injected for 4 years (hydroxocobalamin) - and got my life back by injecting every other day (sometimes increasing to daily

Does this look more Euthyroid and less central hypo now?
Hello everyone, This is my 4th thyroid test (all testing advice adhered to, tests between 9.00-9.40am) over the last 6 months since joining HU and asking for advice. It looks to me like T4 has started to raise. I've listed below all 4 tests for comparison. It's now 47% through the range which seems

Lab Cut Backs (blood testing)!
I've read on here numerous times about people being refused T3 tests because "we're not allowed to test that any more" etc etc. Clearly appalling when trying to get a full picture of what's going on with your thyroid. I've just spoken to the GP about some other blood tests I'm having done tomorrow (

Musings on stress relievers – I know what might help to alleviate stress, but why don’t I do them?
Spoiler alert: This post is REALLY long! Stress seems to be a biggie for most of us in this day and age. Part of the human condition in general it would appear (thanks cave dwelling ancestors!) and also more specifically when dealing with PMR/GCA. As PMRpro and others often mention, it is frequently

Hashimoto's TSH reducing with VitD and potential lactose intolerance
Hi As the title suggests I've got quite a few different areas I want to cover and need to see that I'm actually heading in the right direction, and not going crazy as the NHS are still disregarding everything I say. I first posted here 1 year ago, I'd had NHS and private bloods taken. My TSH had been

Questions for Endocrinologist
Today is the day, I am finally seeing an endocrinologist. Any suggestions of things to ask? Trying to be optimistic about the appointment but quietly cautious. Below are the questions I have so far: - FT3 measurement to ensure adequate conversion - Pregnancy monitoring and appropriate FT4 and TSH levels

Vitamin D and AF

Hi allSo I've been publishing my results for many weeks now and have had fantastic advice from this page. Following on from my private blood test which I've attached, I booked to see a Gp but I tried a different one as I've been seeing the same one for 18 months. Well I feel absolutely deflated. I've

Post-private GP update
Evening. A few people asked me to post an update following on from my visit to a private GP today. Well, it certainly wasn’t what I’d expected, which is to say I hadn’t expected much to happen other than another another blood test being needed and possibly a plan of action. What actually happened

Optimal vitamin levels?
Hi there I am in the slow process of titrating my levo dose up from a slow start of 25mcg per day (GP started me on 100mcg previously and I went totally loopy hyper within 2 weeks and felt like my thyroid was very inflammed, I then stopped it altogether and left it a while before daring to restart slowly

Hypothyroid - Vit & iron levels
Hello, As recommended by this brilliant group, I have had my vitamin and iron levels tested through medichecks. My results have come back all in range, thankfully, but I know that sometimes ‘normal’ or ‘in range’ isn’t optimum. Would someone be able to look at these please and let me know any thoughts

Latest blood tests
Hi everyone, I posted a while ago about getting all my underactive thyroid symptoms back, joint pains, fatigue, anxiety and others. I’d had test results saying my TSH was low, but the dr was saying that it was satisfactory. I managed to speak to another dr and she ordered full blood tests. My results
