2nd Open Heart Surgery - Experiences?
Hi All, looking for other peoples experiences of a second open heart surgery. My surgeon was very frank with me when he said, it will take a lot longer due to scar tissue and he doesnt know what damage he will find from the first failed op and reoccouring pericarditus that I have had. Trying not to panic

Apixaban and Dentist's
I am on Apixaban and I have to have a wisdom tooth removed. My Dentist is reluctant to do it without consulting with my GP. He has no experience with Apixaban. And is in need of advice with regards the stopping of Apixaban prior to the tooth removal. I cannot get in touch with my GP due to surgery

Article performing a clinical trial using T3-sulphate instead of T3 alone in a combination T4/T3 setting
This article has tested the stability in use of T3-sulphate rather than T3 alone for combination therapy. The T3-sulphate gives a much more even response than T3 only, and lowers the "spiking" seen shortly after taking.

Getting Worried
After 6 months saw my surgeon re my heart Bypass operation in May. Told me I was a priority bot also needed Aortic Valve replacement and possibly an Aneurism as well as the Aortic Root is ballooned. Possible surgery in June or July after 2 weeks in isolation at home. But I need a CT Aortogram first.

Apixaban
Morning quick question I take Apixaban and have just seen on tv if you are on an anticoagulant you should not be eating leafy green veg! Being a vegetarian I eat a fair amount! I thought this was only if you were taking Warfarin!

Hi everyone I’m new to the group just wanted to say hi, I started C25k 3weeks ago I was very nervous as I’ve not ran/jogged for a very long time. I have a heart problem that restricted me, but a year ago I had open heart surgery to help fix my problem, which it did but in the mean time while recovering
