Very new on Bisoprolol and feeling rather dizzy, sick and headachy. Also very tired. Is this common?
I have been on Bisoprolol and Apixaban for 5 days now and am feeling rather dizzy, sick and headachy. Also very tired. Is this common? I realise that everyone is different but how long might it be before my body adjusts? I was having palpitations 25% of the time with my pulse up to 190 and then stopping

Really low heart rate
On August 24 of this year, After having what I thought was tachycardia for over 24 hours with a heart rate of 150 b/m, I ended up in the emergency room where it was determined I was having an SVT episode. That was resolved, surprisingly, by an IV of metoprolol. After that, my electro-physiologist increased

My Heart Story.
Hi all newbie here and my first post. By profession, I am a 60-year-old overweight taxi driver and I came across this site while in hospital waiting for CABGX4. In 2014, I was out of puff after push starting a vehicle for a neighbour and came over all sweaty and clammy. Wife phoned for ambulance and

LA and COVID
Hi all, I hope you’re well! This news just came out. https://www.medpagetoday.com/infectiousdisease/covid19/88044 LA might lead to thrombosis in COVID-19. Not really a surprise though :) Anyway, they also mention that blood clots still occur with LA on anticoagulation with COVID. They recommend

Dosage Dilemma
Felt unwell last week - doctor visited and took urine sample which immediately tested clear. It was considered that I was suffering ‘stress’ as my husband had that day gone into hospital for heart surgery, It was suggested that I increase to 10mg Pred. Doctor telephoned me yesterday to say urine tested

Cancer with APS
I’ve been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. I also have AFib. The oncologist is suggesting chemo plus the Whipple surgery. How dangerous is all of this when you have APS. I also have COPD. I feel that this will be the end of my life. Last year I had my aorta valve replaced by the TVAR method. Info

4-and-a-bit-month Post Ablation Update
So, I've been posting this to help all the sport loving folks out there see what they might expect post-ablation. So just after three months I began to feel much better - I'm now doing all the weight-training, yoga and pilates I was able to do before. I can also walk up to five miles with little problem

Chest pain
Hi all, I was hoping for a little advice. I had open heart surgery two months ago and was unfortunately one of the 2% who suffers a stroke and lost the use of an arm and a leg.. I have just been discharged and I am in constant pain in the chest area. The pain doesn't seem to have an exact home. Sometimes

Cause of my afib
I think I may finally know the cause of my afib which I actually found out on my own. My cardio Drs didn't send complete results of the heart tests they did on me when I was in the hospital in June and told I had afib. I had chest x-rays before all that that had shown I had haziness in a lung. And first

Not Flutter After All

Hawthorn Berry certainly helps me with the occasional missed beats!
Hi All Hope this helps. I was a competitive cyclist from age 14 to 45 (70 now) and able to ride at 25 av. Then from 45 onwards rode with my own ability group at a decent pace. Then, of course, slightly slower each year! So, rode at 20 av at age 60 and 17 av at age 67 for example The missed beats started

Cardiac on top of MBC
Has anyone here had "open heart" surgery? I ask because besides the MILBC I've been living with for over 16 years, I've developed a couple of cardiac issues, a leaky mitral value and a-fib. My cardiologist referred me to a cardiac surgeon hoping one (open heart in which the sternum would be cut thru

Update following aorta valve replacement
This site and the people on it were a big help to me before my surgery so I thought I would share my experiences post surgery. It's been just over 4 weeks since surgery and so far everything has been going ok. No problems or complications post surgery. Did end up with a bonus new section of aorta that
