I’m 70 and I had open heart surgery to remove a Myxoma in my left atrium at the beginning of October 2020. (I have put details earlier of the experience)
I have monitored my blood pressure and heart rate since leaving hospital 3 months ago and both have gradually increased from about 120/75 to 140/90 blood pressure and 70-75 to over 100 Heart rate, as high 113 on occasion. I realise that this is a bit high, but should I do anything about it just yet. Thanks in anticipation of any reply.

Hi, I agree with Michael. It looks like your medication requires a review and adjustment. It may require a bit of time to get it right and thereafter from time to time further reviews.
Is your hospital offering a Rehab program of gentle exercises? Now that your sternum has knitted back together it is about the time that they usually feed you into it. Some hospitals are offering on line programs because of covid which will help to get you going again. Try giving them a ring. If they are not doing it they may be able to point you in the right direction .
These exercises helped me to measure my progress and steadily improve my fitness If you don't get anywhere try asking the BHF.
