Wayfarin and angiogram
Has anybody experienced problems getting their INR to a level required for angiogram to be done. I am due to have one on Thursday and expected to have an INR between 2.0 - 3.0 (it's currently 4.0). My health centre and the hospital both say each other are responsible for managing my Warfarin dosing!

My husband has been told he could have a LAD by pass using mammary artery instead of leg version. They do keyhole surgery through rib cage. Has anyone had this? Is it different to quality of open heart surgery ?

Apixaban and the risk of bleeding
"Covid blood-thinner drug treatment dangerous and does not work". This scary headline in the Guardian today turns out to be specifically about Apixaban being used in relation to hospitalized patients recovering from covid. The article begins: āA blood-thinning drug given as a potential life-saver

First Cardioversion procedure in Feb 23
I had phone call this morning telling me I had been booked for a Cardioversion on 02 Feb 23 at Barts hospital to try an correct AF. This will be the first one that I have ever had and to say I am not scared is an understatement. I have had at least 3 ablations, plus two mitral valve replacements,

Should I reduce dose slightly? T3/T4 combination therapy
If I were to (hypothetically) maintain these levels for the next 20 years, would that be likely to cause any long term
health
problems, eg osteoporosis/
heart
issues? Any thoughts gratefully received, thank you!

High blood pressure
It's important to recognize that HBP is a serious issue and can impact
heart
and vascular
health
. Therefore, I encourage anyone feeling similarly to not hesitate in seeking advice from a doctor.

Heart Health Anxiety
Although I am taking meds for high BP it has been high (average 140/100) I have been having bouts of palpitations that have ended up with me going to A&E. The last 2 times, more or less a month apart, ECG and bloods were fine but BP was high. Meds have recently been changed 2 weeks ago and unsure whether

Nervous about upcoming bypass surgery
Hello all. Iāve got heart bypass scheduled soon and worries are creeping in. Itās all happened really fast with me being in my early 40s and fairy active. Then being told post angiogram that a triple bypass is needed (mainly due to genetics Iām told). Any advice would be great.

"Remodelling" of the heart
A member has lately said that the MDs have advised him to go for an ablation as soon as possible (he is in his 50-ties) in the course to prevent "remodelling" of the heart. I do believe in their good intention, but am puzzled if that really is so. The normal heart operation is with the coooperation
