Are My Arteries Getting Worse?
Anyone diagnosed with atherosclerosis/
heart
disease, who has had a
heart
attack, stroke, a
bypass
or a stent, or indeed anyone who has had any kind of heart problem due to plaque in their arteries, will surely have asked themselves this question.

Sternum wires - going through airport security with metal!
Hello, I have sternum wires following open heart surgery a year ago, & am flying abroad soon, would I need a GP letter for the process of going through airport security with the metal in my chest? Thank you for any advice!

Overmedicated with suppressed TSH - but low T4/T3 results and on T4/T3 medication
Unfortunately I've become the latest victim to a GP and an Endocrinologist beholden to the TSH test. I've been on 100mcg Levothyroxine (from NHS GP) and 25mcg Tiromel (sourced privately) for a good 6 months now and I've been doing my own private blood tests to check levels along with taking note of

Can you feel your heart post CABG
Hi all I’ve been for a stress test today on the treadmill and the same happened as it did the other day when I tried to go for my first hill walk on the local hills by us. I started off fine but as the gradient increased my heart rate obviously increased but the rate wasn’t massive around 110 the problem

Update on 3rd vaccination
He’s not CEV but several family members are, my daughter in law with MS, my Dad with Non Hodgkinsons Lymphoma, my step Father after triple
heart
bypass
to list a few. Anyway upon trying to reschedule his 3rd vaccination he’s been told it’s no longer available! DOES THIS SOUND RIGHT?

Indigestion after Heart Attack
I had my heart attack last year. One stent. Now experiencing right chest pain sometimes in the evening. I often think I am having another heart attack but after going to casualty I realise it is indigestion. I have never suffered with this prior to the heart attack. The pain is bad. It can be difficult

Symptoms a year after CABG, 20 months after Heart Attack.
I would be interested in the experiences of others relating to the aftermath of CABG surgery. Potted history: From around summer 2017 when aged 60, I started to feel a mild tingling and "tight" sensation sometimes under my left ribs, sometimes in my back around the same height. It continued on and

Angiogram-who is to blame?
I was due to have an angiogram last Thursday but because I hadn't paused Apixaban for 3 days before I couldn't have it. The consultant who was to have conducted the procedure met me and simply said "these things happen" but we then had one of the most disagreeable consultations I have ever had afterwards

Bionic Bobby is back
Managed to escape from Askaban after lunch thanks to hot wheels Sam and Mikey on navigation and just got home. Quick resume Angiogram --- coronaries all good . Had 20 min aura following contrast which is a first for me. Only residual problem was the dresssing. Nurse with the clippers who prepped

Worries about having a stroke
Hi everyone, this is my first post. I’m a 51 year old female and I had mitral and aortic valves replaced last year so am on warfarin for life. I have real anxiety about having a stroke after having a TIA after having the Astrazenica vaccine. I need to have surgery on both of my knees, probably partial

AVR and bisoprolol and other meds.
I was wondering if anyone has had a aortic valve replacement or open heart surgery and put on bisoprolol or other beta blockers while on an anxiety medication? I had surgery 1 year ago and I am still bedridden and was on beta blockers for 11 months and taken off abruptly and now I'm in a withdrawal.
