Why has my husband been given Candesartan when he hasn’t got high blood pressure . It must be for his stage 2 heart failure I presume .
My husband has been given this drug along with digoxin to add to his other meds , bisoprol , antorvaststin , Lansoprazole, edoxoban and dapagliflozin. He ll be rattling soon . He has been relatively stable . The ecg showed heart rate of 100 so I presume the cardiologist wants to lower it further . Is

I often get arm and leg spasms, but a few months ago, I had the strangest of "attacks". I can only describe it as "electric spasms"...everything twitches, I was not able to control my walking, my arm movements were uncontrollable and when I tried to talk, what came out were long stutters. I am not

change of medication to Atenolol from Bisoprolol
I have been on Bisoprolol for a couple of weeks but I haven’t felt great. I felt tired and foggy most of the time, struggled to get my breath and my feet were freezing. I have spoken to the pharmacist at our surgery and he has changed my medication to Atenolol even though he said Bisoprolol was the preferred

Exciting day part 2
Hey Everyone So if you saw my post this morning you'll know I've had scans, midwife and cardiologist appointments today First I'm having a girl, I cried with happiness, then laughing and left the appointment thinking I was dreaming Then to the midwife, everything is okay, BP is still lower than it

Looks Like My Cholesterol Is High, Yikes
I've spent the best part of the day at my local hospital today. I saw my GP as I'd been experiencing increasing shortness of breath over the last week or so and as I had pericarditis last summer I think they wanted to be sure it wasnt anything similar. So I got sent to the one stop shop aka SDEC, same

Hi I've been having palpitations and rapid heart rate on waking up for 3 months now. I'm sure it's down to medication but GP not convinced. I have had Anxiety but it happens without Anxiety too. I've had numerous ecgs chest x-ray and I'm currently waiting for 48 hour ECG I just wish I knew what was going

Kisqali and EKG
I was just told at my after Lab. and ECG appointments that I need to set up an appointment with a cardiologist because my oncologist wants to monitor more carefully my ECG's. I guess the numbers they are worrying about are QTCcB= 460. I have no clue about what this means, but I guess not great. I can

GP appointment went well!
So I had a follow up appointment about my latest blood results… vitamin D was at 174 and ferritin at 43.5 ug/L (20.0 - 130.0) My GP was not concerned about my vitamin D level and said resume at whatever I am taking as it’s not a toxic level 🤷🏻♀️ The ferritin level however he agreed is in range but

Bundle branch & HF - 48yrs old
Hello, I'm 48, didn't think I'd be writing on here so soon but it's good to read your stories & experiences, albeit overwhelming at times. Started with palpitations and some noticeable breathlessness. ECG diagnosed bundle branch block. The stress from that prognosis ended me up in A&E from being told

Update and Plan
Well, I feel pretty good about my EP appt. today. He was really succinct about a plan, goals, and end game. So he has proposed in ascending order, four medications to try. He is starting with the mildest and going to the strongest. He is recommending to start with Bisoprolol, then Verapamil, then Sotolol

Misdiagnosis
I am reasonably new to this site and have found it incredibly useful and informative. However, I recently received a bombshell, in that I have possibly been misdiagnosed with AF. I visited my GP at the end of September in 2023 with severe palpitations and given three ECGs. Two of these were viewed by

Ectopics - one after the other. So scared
Hi everyone. I posted on this forum a few years ago and everyone was so helpful. I wonder if anyone could offer some advice/reassurance? Quick back sorry. I had an SVT around 2.5 years ago and ended up in hospital. Had all tests and nothing wrong. Was put on 1.25mg Bisoprolol which made me horribly

Pacs, Please Go Away !
Had my second ablation for atrial flutter back in September , first ablation was in 2016 for afib, that ablation worked for almost seven years. Have been having these weird extra beats, I felt them and they showed up on my Kardia . After some internet research, people told me they are pacs. For awhile

Stent to LAD.
I had a stent fitted to an LAD about two weeks ago. This was not because of an heart attack. In November 2022 I was referred to the Chest Pain Clinic at High Wycombe because of chest pains. My bloods were fine, ECG was okay but on having an echocardiogram I was diagnosed with severe Mitral Valve regurgitation
