Abnormal ECG
So the arrhythmia team contacted me yesterday to discuss the result of my ECG done at my local surgery . Apparently although the test showed an an abnormal pattern with wide QRS it was a minimal deviation and not any form of AF . It could be an age related change but my sinus rhythm was normal and the

Treatment uncertainty
Following an ECG which unexpectedly showed I had AF, I was prescribed 5mg Apixaban twice daily. I have been taking these for 9 weeks and in that time I have suffered 13 severe headaches and almost as many mild headaches. Treatment started at about the same time as the hay fever season and I thought

PVC’ getting worse
4 years ago I passed out and my Apple Watch showed a flat line. I felt a gurgling in my chest and did an ecg on it and as I passed out it picked up a straight line. Hit my head and was unconscious so rushed to hospital. Did loads of tests and scans and was referred to Papworth. Put it down as vasavagal

struggling with atrial flutter
just wondering if any of you have had problems controlling atrial flutter (mine is atypical). Most posts I read are about atrial fibrillation. I had an incomplete and unsuccessful ablation in March, for typical flutter, but recently my symptoms are increasingly worse. I am troubled by a constant fast

Update
Well I had my ECG at the surgery today and the report shows a result with a few issues that included abnormal left axis deviation and non specific st abnormality amongst others. Obviously this is all gobbledygook to me but the first time since I was diagnosed with AF that I’ve had an abnormal ECG .

Update on wide QRS Kardia reading
Well the arrhythmia team finally got back to me yesterday. As far as they can tell from the ECG I sent them they can see a delay in the transmission of electrical signals from the ventricles to the atrium causing my symptoms. It feels like ectopics but the rhythm is normal . They have advised me to get

New here saying hello!
Hello. I am a 62 year old male from UK. In March I had chest pain, dizziness, fast heart rate. I was taken to A & E. AF was thought the likely cause. Following an echocardiogram (normal) a 24 hour ECG (not normal - mean HR 118 peaking at 140 and in AF most of the time) and a CT angiogram (still

My daughter who is 62 has just been in hospital with her third episode of sepsis. She wrote "The registrar looked at my Apple Watch ecg from just before I went back to A&E last Tuesday. It shows that I had atrial fibrillation. She said that it isn’t uncommon for this to happen when people are unwell
