I have had diarrhea for 7 days . Probably Norovirus. My Emay (Kardia equivalent)

Shows Arrythmia most of the time and I really struggled today just walking around.Really lightheaded.

No breathlessness & HR not terrifically high.

Does anyone know if the ECG shows AFib or what it actually shows.

We are hoping to go on holiday on Sunday & AFib never stopped me before.

So I am wondering if I should fly for 2 reasons. The Arrythmia & the diarrhoea (which has improved but still getting cramps.

I know you can't advise as not qualified but opinions could help.

Looks to be a p wave so not AF I would say. Send to your consultant for advice.

You likely are very dehydrated. Combined with fatigue and lightheadiness may warrant a trip to A&E if you can't see your GP or nurse this week. Would also help make decision on travel.

Drink plenty of water and consider electrolyte drinks to hydrate. Best to You !

(yes, ECG shows afib)

I spent 9 hours in & A& E on Friday and no AFib at that stage. However add another 3 days of diarrhoea who knows.

Definitely re-hydrate as Mave 7 says, get electrolytes sachets. Do this asap

I can see p waves.

These look like ectopic beats which arrive prematurely and are then followed by a "compensatory pause" that causes a "thump" feeling or palpitations, often. Also, as Bob says, there are tiny blips on the strip that would be caused by the atrium beating normally. I would breathe easy.

Can't advise on your travel plans, but I've had similar troubles a longer time after my ablation than that. My last 'attack' was October last year, 22 months after the procedure. I've now been fine since then, and I've pushed the boundaries and done stuff I shouldn't, with no ill effects. I wouldn't count the ablation as 'successful' until two years of no problems have passed.

Yes, hydration and there is no need to buy expensive electrolyte sachets. A simple mix of water, salt and sugar in the right proportions works fine. Lots of advice on the web, look it up.

UPDATE.never know how to post an update. This forum is fantastic.Just sharing makes you better. Like sitting in a docs waiting room.Thankyou all.

My Fibricheck shows an almost perfect reading & ECG no abnormalities.

(Touching my head at the moment.(LOL).

Diarrhoea seems to have subsided and no stomach cramps.

Still lightheaded but working on dehydration.Homemade recipes.

I wonder if the imodium could have caused the Arrythmia?
