Afib and flutter
I am in Permenant Afib and Aflutter now. I was told the year my husband died that I also had HF. Then three years later that I don’t? When my cardio takes a EKG he give me my normal HR which is about 71 the he also tells me my af heart rate. How can that be. I have had af since I was 58. Lone afib.

ECG on propranolol or should I stop it
I hope someone can help me double check this please. I'm due to have an ECG in a few weeks and wondering if I should stop my propranolol before it? I had an ECG in March which showed sinus tachycardia but didn't have many symptopms at the time so the GP decided to redo the ECG a few months later nd see

Myocarditis - Month 3
Hi all, Sorry its a long one :-( I'm a 44yr old male with no family history of heart problems. I have recently been diagnosed with Myocarditis. It started 3 months ago after finding out that my best friend had taken his own life. I had chest pains and they got worse if I tried to walk or lift anything

Working and huge amounts of possible Premature Ventricular contractions
I need some advice. A couple of weeks ago after being in a huge amount of pain due to something else completely, my heart changed its rhythm. It does a couple of normal beats then a big thud, constantly . I managed 2 days at work before I ended up at A&E as I was weak, dizzy and had a tight chest. At

M.I. 12 years ago now sudden Angina & I'm scared.
Hi Everyone. I had a heart attack in 2012 aged 48. The left circumflex artery was completely blocked. I had a stent fitted and they saw no evidence of any problems with the other arteries. A lifelong smoker, I stopped at that point. I did all of the cardiac rehab classes and the phase 4 gym sessions

Telephone Consultation Results of:
So, I have just finished my phone consultation. I had my list of questions which I wasn't able to put over to the Consultant without being accused of being rude. This is how it went before I forget: My symptoms as they appear at the moment do not entitle me to any thing other than a 3 day ECG monitor

Flutter vs AF
Evening all, I’ve got the pre-ablation nerves for my Monday ablation…. The short story is over the last 3-4 years I’ve had worsening PAF which is brought on by higher intensity exercise, with red wine also contributing. I’m also 6ft 6, love long distance exercise and both parents have AF which appeared

Sinus Tachycardia after a bout of AF.
Currently in my local hospital having a second bottle of Digoxin. I had a five hour bout of AF yesterday afternoon which terminated on its own like it normally does. However, 45 minutes later, and unusually, it started again but this turned into a regular fast beat of around 122 bpm. 24 hours have now

Problems with T3 treatment
Hello I'm writing to see if anyone can offer advice. I'm hashimotos hypothyroid, 5 years and have been Ok but not brilliant on levothyroxine at ~85mcg daily. My T3 has been consistently low at 3.7 while T4 has been 20-21. Not terrible symptoms but high cholesterol, some fatigue, mood often low. Working

Telephone Consultation
I have a telephone consultation with the Cardio team this Thursday, my first one. I have had a 24 hour heart monitor, an ECG and a chest x-ray all of which have come back as normal, yet the palpitations have become much worse in the last month that when I'm having one, I can barely speak and it feels

New Diagnosis - Very Confused
I had some health checks and an ECG showed LBBB I was sent for an echo in June just to double check things. This came back with left ventricular dysfunction and EF 35%. Ventricular ectopy was 7-8% couldn't believe it when I was told I have HF. Seemingly no symptoms I thought, however I did get palpations

Progesterone levels?
Hey everyone - I think I’m out (just waiting on results of confirmatory blood
hcg
test before stopping my meds). However while still on them I got my progesterone checked at a private lab in Antrim.

vertigo heart related?
I’ve been having short transient dizzy spells for a couple of weeks, then 2 nights ago had severe attack after sitting on the floor with head down working on a project. While sitting, I felt funny then tried to stand up, couldn’t walk right, felt drunk and for about 15 minutes struggled to not pass

Not bad enough? LVSD
After months of palpitations, mild breathlessness, some lightheadedness, fatigue, aches and brain fog I went to GP about a year ago. ECG found ectopic beats but was told you can have 1000s of these each day and are normal. Fast forward and I've now been diagnosed as having Ehlers Danlos and as part

Control studies with amiodoran intake
Hello, Is there anyone who can tell how often ECG (electrocardiogram), lung, liver and thyroid tests are done during long-term amiodoran intake?

Am I unwell or not?
Long story - breathlessness on exertion, various bloods (normal) and X-Rays (contentious) until sent for a CT scan for lung cancer after a year of pestering my GP. CT scan reveals lung scarring from dust(? was thought to be asbestos, but lung clinic say not) plus "narrowed arteries" GP ECG abnormal

Second ablation lined up
Thank you BlueMonday67 and PpiMan for your replies to my last post. I saw Cardiologist yesterday and he did an ECG. He said that the results showed something called ATypical Atrial Flutter this time and not AF. Although he suggested that it would be treated the same he seemed to suggest it was slightly
