When you’re sick and it’s not cancer.

Mild SLE travel to Africa with Malarone recommended
I am lucky, my SLE is mild and diagnosed 6 months ago with no organ issues. My body seems to be responding well to my medications (daily 3mg Zamen a deflazacort based steroid, Plaquinol 400mg and weekly 15mg of methotrexate). All good with reduced inflamation markers. Like I said, I am lucky. My job

Okay so for 7 months i have suffered with issues with my foreskin. My GP is a bit at a loss and i am awaiting to have an appointment at dermatology. Since being on a steroid cream my skin has gone scabby and a lil tight. You can see from the pic that my skin started to go white which i thought was dead

Suffered with sore foreskin for months, was treated for Thrush then cleared then pain returned and been on 2 weeks of steroid cream, i felt better so masturbated but then my penis was raw. Redness/irritation on penis head
Hello, im a 32 y/o uncircumcised. Ive had this problem on and off for coming up on 2 years. (Mostly on). I have seen a urologist, and dermatologist about it. The dermatologist said it was eczema and prescribed a steroid cream, while it helps with redness it comes back almost immediately after usage.

Thin Frenulum fears after brief steroid usage
Hello, I'm 22 in December I noticed a small nick on my frenulum and was told by a doctor to put steroid cream on it. I applied somewhat liberally for 5 days and then stopped, and afterwards noticed no pain but that my frenulum is much thinner now and I'm worried it's more much prone to to full tearing

Hashimoto’s and Travel Shots
Hello everyone. I had asked about travel shots a while ago. Now I have an appointment to get the shots in two days. The shots are, malaria, hepatitis B, yellow fever and typhoid. I am so nervous because I don’t want to react and become unwell because of my thyroid disease (autoimmunity). Any suggestions

Raised itchy welts
I’ve been on riveroxaban for 18 months following a heart attack. In the past 2 months I’ve developed raised itchy welts on my chest. Doctor gave me steroid cream which took it down but once I stopped it returned. Is this a side effect of riveroxaban? Going back to dr tomorrow.

Calcium/vitD
When I was first diagnosed I was given Adcal by the specialist GP, I took these for a month, when I saw my GP she said she had a better calcium supplement that you only have to take once a day. She gave me theical-D3 1000mg/880iu chewable tablets. They contain less calcium than the adcal. Does anyone

TSW - What helps
Topical Withdrawal Syndrome TWS is one of my most painful experiences . Even though I avoid the use of topical steroids now, some creams I use can bring back a milder form of those painful symptoms. My skin has gotten so sensitive!. I can tell you though, wash your face only with water if you are experiencing

The story so far...Part 3!
Up until I was diagnosed with GCA I used to be rather smug about not having to take any regular, long term drugs. It was something of a shock when I had to start pill popping and quite a struggle working out the best way to swallow 14 preds plus the other precautionary tabs. Although warned, I was not
