Feeling exhausted.
My
Haemoglobin
, Red blood cells and Haematocrit (no idea what that is or if it’s relevant) are below range, although only slightly and private “well woman” blood tests have shown the same for the last three years.

unsure about diagnosis.
I have recently been diagnosed with low
haemoglobin
and iron deficiency anaemia and wonder if this is related to the problem. Tried discussing it with consultant to no avail.

right eye vision very poor
RBC and
haemoglobin
normal. No symptoms expect for enlarged spleen ( enlarged 4 inches). Last week I went for routine eye check up. The doctor on examination found problem in my retina and recommended for eye scan. It revealed ERN a coating on retina and needs surgery.

Blood tests - only abnormalities are a persistently higher than average ESR, slightly raised CRP and most recent tests showed slightly low platelets and Mean Cell

"Very low risk" of colon cancer, so surveillance is unnecessary?
This national programme is based on faecal immunochemical testing, which screens for concentration of faecal
haemoglobin
(f-Hb).

Got to take the wins!
I have got a positive anti GPC test but I don’t even have a positive iFAB test and I told him my
haemoglobin
is at the bottom of the range but not anaemic and my b12, D, iron and folate are all low but apparently not low enough! He cared more about my symptoms.

Some clarification please, are B12 folate And iron deficiency Competeting anemia's?
By way of normal MCV and mean cell
haemoglobin
levels normal, but the only clue could be RDW heightened, so if you treated one of the anemias but not the others would the other ones then become apparent?

Could someone look at my results please?
All other tests (FBC, LFT, U&E etc) were fine apart from below range bilirubin and
haemoglobin
down to 124 (120-150) when it was 138 this time last year with the same range. Does anyone have any thoughts or comments please? Thank you

Tests for iron
Your
haemoglobin
is also normal. In iron deficiency, generally the red cells are small and yours are not. I am afraid I can't therefore justify detailed iron studies and we would also been highly unlikely to suggest IV iron treatment."

Is that the same as the serum

Starting (again)on 23rd August
I'm having a transfusion locally tomorrow as my
haemoglobin
is 79. However, I've still been able to go for a walk each day (3 miles yesterday) so I feel quite encouraged about general fitness going in for the SCT.
