exercise during active Graves’ disease
I have been on carbimazole since January. In the last weeks I have tried to go for a 15min jog (I usually do around 2k during this time). It’s a struggle but I enjoy it. Today, my heart couldn’t calm down for nearly whole day. Resting rate was 80-90 which is a bit high for me and I felt a but funny all

What is the prognosis for someone with Graves’ disease?
Hi All, I have some questions about the prognosis for someone with
Graves
’
disease
. How would
Graves
’
disease
likely progress if solely treated using anti-thyroid medication such as Carbimazole? This is the route I am taking.

Tongue / Graves disease
Can the thyroid affect the tongue? I was borderline again last time and have a blood test end of Feb due to be discharged if ok but I think as I keep being borderline they're not sure what to do with me. As to whether my body is naturally on borderline as I don't really get many of the symptoms Mild

Graves disease Auto Immune Diet
Hello again. All has settled with tablets. Thyroid levels are normal again, so my Carbimazole dose has been reduced by half to 5 mg per day. I just wondered if anyone had tried any Thyroid diet plans with success. Not necessarily to lose weight, though I've put nearly a stone on with ATD but more

Graves disease
Hi I have
Graves
disease
(an autoimmune disorder) and am worried I should be looking into this side of things more, when going through IVF. Has anyone else got
Graves
disease
and did you do anything differently than the 'regular' IVF patient? Thanks

Dosage question.
I was diagnosed with Graves and overactive thyroid forty four years ago. I had a thyroidectomy and started on synthetic thyroid hormone therapy. I’m 69 now and take 100 mcg of Levothyroxine daily, my TSH is 0.291, low. What dose should I be taking?

recently diagnosed with overactive thyroid
hi Forgot to mention… I’ve been taking multivitamins which obviously contain iodine, as I’ve just been diagnosed with overactive thyroid should I stop taking them?? Not yet on medication I'm currently waiting for carbimazole prescription.

Graves - blood test
Therefore they recommended a choice of either regimen for adults with
Graves
'
disease
....Short-term combined testing with TSH, FT4 and FT3 is needed to inform decisions about the need for additional courses of treatment or dose changes with antithyroid drugs.[/i]

Graves Disease
|He sat there and said do you know what you have wrong with you, then he told me I had
Graves
disease
. I have not been given any information, and it looks so overwhelming especially when I take my other health problems, especially with diet as I also have a stoma.

Headaches
Hi everyone I was diagnosed with Graves in 2021 and had treatment which put the Graves in remission. I am starting to feel unwell again and getting headaches and just feeling lousy but wondered if the headaches is a symptom of Graves. I do suffer with migraines. I am having my bloods done tomorrow

hair loss after thyroid removal?
hi all, I’m due to have my thyroid removed through surgery because of
Graves
’
disease
that is constantly relapsing and getting harder to manage. I’m getting more and more worried about the after math though.

Hair loss
I have been diagnosed with
graves
disease
and have decided to take the tablet route first. I've noticed a massive amount of hair loss in recent weeks and was hoping it was just my tablets that needed altering but endo had said I'm normal now.

Graves’ disease 3 years down the line
After 2 years on medication for
Graves
’
disease
I finally have the letter from endocrinologist saying I’m to stop taking block and replace, Really nervous about it which is ridiculous because I didn’t want to rely on medication in the first place and now I’m worried about stopping.
