New here to the glycol allergy page
Hi . I'm new here to the allergy glycol page and I'm so pleased I've found a forum so I don't feel so isolated. I have Rheumatoid arthritis and belong on their forum but I had an allergic reaction well full anaphylaxis to macrogol or polyethylene glycol in a biological drug I tried called cimzia. I

First experiences with Pegasys for Polythycemia Vera
I've had PV for about 10 years, managing it with phlebotomies and aspirin but I've been eager to try Pegasys and avoid HU. HU is a really old, pharmacokinetically poorly characterised drug which causes DNA damage (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5126785/, https://www.researchgate.net

HAPPY DAYS, and rainbows
It's been 2 month's (knock on wood) since I had a really server bowel pain from my ibs c. I'm taking a multivitamin without iron, iron will just make things worse trust me. But this multivitamin has magnesium in it which seems like that top of polyethylene glycol and the low fod map diet helps with

God is good
The good lord has blessed me, 3 weeks pain free, but 1 day. Full bowel movements everyday. Been taking 17 grams of polyethylene glycol every day, once a day, at the same time everyday. It helps with my IBS-C.

Help - need to verify ingredients to avoid PG or PEG
My son is very sensitive to propylene glycol. His face gets horribly red, blotchy, and dry like sandpaper. Almost like he's been burned. No amount of lotion will moisturize the skin. I have figured out how to avoid it in foods and other obvious places, although I still have much to learn. He started

PG and skin
Hello - I am on a journey to figure out my son's sensitivity to Propylene Glycol. I know I've only discovered the tip of the iceberg. Hoping to find more information here and through others. Our first big clue was the car - whenever we would go on long road trips my son's legs (thighs) would break

Polyethyene glycol and propylene glycol
I do not know how to ask this. Are these related or close enough to cause the same reactions? Miralax is polyethylene glycol and bayer asprin has propylene glycol. I know i am jumping right in with a question without reading anything else and i apologise up front for that.

A cause of elevated serum thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH) concentration
I have several times pointed out that macro-TSH can result in TSH test results which are higher than they should be. I had thought this issue was both well-known (among biochemists/lab scientists, at least) and that many or all testing facilities had taken steps to overcome the problem
