The good lord has blessed me, 3 weeks pain free, but 1 day. Full bowel movements everyday. Been taking 17 grams of polyethylene glycol every day, once a day, at the same time everyday. It helps with my IBS-C.

Hi can I ask were u get this stuff please
I get it proscribed to me by my primary care doctor. It was working until I ate other food besides rice. But don't let that de rail u from trying it. It takes 2 days to kick in and start bowel movements but cam cause bloating, diarrhea and more pain. I think I might just be doing something wrong.
What were the other foods you ate other than rice ?- this sounds like a food intolerance.
IBS sufferers may not be able to eat salads, raw tomatoes, crunchy cabbage - all those health foods recommended may make you worse. Cooked vegetables with little roughage might help. Eggs are major culprit. Lulubub is interesting to look up as a member to read her posts - she has been helped by a naturopath who has transformed her life with diet recommended. She gives a list of foods recommended
by her specialist which looks helpful.
I have just started taking this daily. Thank you for your post. I am pleased to hear it is working well for you.....I'm hoping for the same!
Please let me know how it goes for you TheaT. I'm not 100 percent for it yet. Linzess is my wounder drug if I can ever get back on it. U should try linzess if that don't work, be warn tho, it make u go from dessert to waterfall in under 1-2 hours, u be hoping to the bathroom all day almost but u won't be in pain anymore. But here in the USA it cost 13 bucks per pill which rounds up to 30 pills equaling 400 bucks a bottle just for some darn water blockers. Meaning it prevents ur large colon from absorbing water which then makes ur bowel go swimming down the grand Canon.
