Just home from hospital !!

I’d had chest pain, down both arms across shoulders and my back, that just wouldn’t shift with the GTN spray.

Ambulance, morphine and goodness knows what else later as that morphine is pretty good stuff, X-ray ECG monitored, then my blood pressure went down to 97/43 put on fluids,

I think they understood our condition (micro vascular angina and coronary spasms) I didn’t actually see a cardiologist but A&E rang them and had one medication changed and one increased, don’t know what as it was during the night after having morphine !!!!!

Anyway...... home now and waiting to hear from my GP for exactly what was said !!!

I hope you’re feeling much better now. It’ll be interesting to hear if the tweaks to your meds helps.

Thank you

The meds have worn off from the hospital now and still on my usual meds, and guess what, I’ve got a little permanent chest pain.

If my Gp doesn’t ring this morning I’ll ring them.

Like you said hopefully the adjustment in the meds will do the trick !

I’m surprised that you weren’t given a new supply at the hospital and they’re leaving you to grapple with your GP.

Scary night. Hope you’re feeling better. Don’t do too much too soon. Take care.

Hi Fluffybee

I am glad you went into hospital to be checked out.

Microvascular and vasospastic angina are complex conditions and you should have been reviewed by a member of the Cardiology team.

I am also surprised that the Doctor in A&E did not explain the medication changes to you.

I suggest you contact your GP and discuss with them what is written on your discharge summary from A&E.

I hope you feel more at ease soon.

No I don’t, just messaged my Gp as he may have had the phone call, crazy they tell you such important information, you’re by yourself, which I know you have to be, given you all the pain relief so you cannot think straight and wake you up and blast you full of information unplugged me passed me my bag and took me to the waiting area to go home !!!!!
