Gentamicin Injections
I took my first gentamicin injection last Wednesday and will have two more over the next two weeks. My doctor mentioned that I will feel wobbly after these injections. While I didn't experience any side effects after the first one, I'm unsure what to expect after the second and third. In theory, it should

Gentamicin Nebulised
HiI have bronchiectasis and pseudomonas colonisation. I have been on Colomycin for 10 years but have now seeked a second opinion for my condition (maybe a bit late but I took Littlepom's advice). They are looking to change me to Gentamicin instead. At present I am on IV antibiotics for 14 days. Fifth

Pd catheter exit site care
I was wondering what antibiotic everyone is using to take care of their Pd catheter exit site. I am currently using (since May) gentamicin sulfate cream. I am convinced that it makes me itchy around the site and I can't scratch it. The doctors and nurses suggested benadryl. That hasn't worked either

Chest Clinic update
Well my friends, I have had the lung function tests (or posh spirometry, as I think of them), and the Consultant told me nothing has really changed, which is good news. They are going to teach me how to administer IV Antibiotics myself at home, so going for a PICC line sometime soon. Should be good

Jiggly Eyes and Balance
Hi, my consultant believes that probably as a result of gentamicin my inner ear has been damaged. This means I have balance problems and my eyes "jiggle" i.e. when my head moves my eyes seem to bounce. I was wondering if anyone else has had (got) these problems and how they are trying to overcome them

Bronchiectasis and Haemophilius Influenza Vaccination
Hello everyone - I’m looking for some advice if anyone could help? My mother is currently in hospital and is fighting another chest infection. She has been on gentamicin through IV and her chest infection is slowly clearing. However this is the normal pattern of things. My mother also has bronchiectasis

Saline Inhalation
Hi, I have been asked to consider hypertonic saline in-between my twice daily salbutamol and gentamicin nebuliser. I am sure it would help with thick sputum clearance but i have had swollen ankles for about 15 years for which i take bendroflumethiazide but this does not make the swelling disappear. I
