Yes I did. In 1998! I persevered for ages because the clinic at the hospital didn't recognise the problem. I took myself off it and nebulused isotonic saline twice each day until I cd breathe again. Now they are aware that many of these nebulised antibiotics can cause the lungs to react. They call it spasm. I call it gummed up and shut down!I'm sorry that it didn't suit you. There are others they can give you. Ceftazidime suited me the best but many consultants don't realise that they can prescribe it. The hospital supplied it to me because chemists find it very hard to obtain. You know the signs now if you react to any of the others. I hope you find one which suits you as it is an effective way to keep the bugs down.

Thank you so much. Finally got reply from respiratory nurse saying stop it then try again in 2weeks sounds like your having an exasperation !! This is different from any exasperation l have had. Persevered with her and she has now said maybe l need a,review l think so it's been 18mths. Is it me or does everything seem such a battle

I think she means an exacerbation 🤣 But exasperation certainly sums it up. Why won't they listen to their patients!!! She obviously has no idea about dealing with this situation. If you were having an exacerbation you wd be coughing up loads of mucus. Gentamycin is an effective ab but boy is it old fashioned and fierce! As I said, it closed down my lungs. She is confusing an obvious reaction by your lungs with a copd exacerbation. If it was me I wd stay off the gent, ring the consultant's secretary and get them to tell the consultant that the drug sent you into spasm ( using their language) and is obviously not going to be any good. Good luck. I am exhausted for you 😖
