Laxatives for constipation
The gp has just changed me from laxido to
fybogel
mebeverine
. I've taken half a sachet and the pain is horrendous. It is causing awful cramps. I'm not sure what to do as I can't carry on with the constipation. I tried upping the fibre and that did the same and aggrevated the symptoms 🥹

Long term Fybogel use
Hi everyone, this is my first post on this group. I've been an IBS sufferer now for 5 years. A big part of my IBS is constipation and I tend to have bowel leakage which can be really stressful at times. I'm just wondering about something and hope someone here can help advise me. I need to take Fyobgel

T3 fallen
I have my private Endo appt next month. Did my MMH blood test last week but as I bought the pack 5 months ago I wondered if there could be a problem with the results. My previous blood test in Feb after starting T3 just before Christmas showed my T3 had risen to 5.9 (3.1-6.8) from 3.9 and my hypo symptoms

Advice on managing IBS symptoms
Hi, I have been diagnosed with IBS. My main symptom is constipation, which builds up no matter what I eat or drink and is accompanied by severe bloating and flatulence to the point where (especially in the evenings) I cannot be around people. I almost constantly feel as though I need the toilet but often

Bisacodyl
Taken Senna, Fybogel and Laxido and haven’t had any bowel movements. I’ve seen people say to take Bisacodyl as this is quite strong. What are people’s experiences with this? Does it work? When is the best time to take it?

Advice/treatment?
Thought I would add to my previous post as I left some things out. My doctor has recently told me she thinks I have IBS. I am a 22 female and I have done blood tests, stool tests - everything normal, so my GP has ruled out things like H.pylori, IBD, iron deficiency and coeliac. All other blood results

Fed up feeling tired
I had a bad bout last night .... sore back and sore across abdomen. Could not get comfortable in bed .. lying on my back made me feel nauseous. Most comfortable position was onside/front. I then got leg cramps ! (coincidental I'm sure) I haven't managed to identify a food trigger (last night's dinner

Possible irritable bowel
Hi folks, is it common to have autoimmune plus IBS? and how do you know if they are seperate entities or part of UCTD? I have diagnosed esophageal dysmotility, and have to be careful how I eat to avoid spasm and blockage. Now I have something like IBS -c, and I've had various GP tests for blood

Ibs-d & cramping advice.
Its 1.30am on a Monday morning and I'm sat in the dark, with a hot water bottle (in this heat!!) after suffering yet another ibs episode with cramps and ibs-d. I'm a long time sufferer and know my triggers very well, which is always anxiety. Whether it be anxiety from real concerns or anxiety because

mebeverine
hi So I saw a different doctor today and he really listened to me. After examining me he says I have a slight prolapse of my pelvic floor but its very mild and nothing to do with my bowel problems. He has given me mebeverine just wondering will this help my urgency and incomplete evacuation? Thank

Fatigue after eating. Ibs
Hi, I have long term fibro. Pain, ibs, fatigue etc.I suffer with bloating, constipation and fatigue which follow most meals especially after breakfast when I have to wait often up to 2 or more hours before fatigue gradually goes although it is longer lasting lately. Food does seems to affect me less

TWW + trouble going to the loo!
Hi ladies, I am 3 dpt and struggling to go to the toilet, im sure it’s from all the meds. I’m drinking tonnes of water + eating loads of fruit and veg. Any tips? I am pretty sure fybogel is safe to use, but any tips would be appreciated as I feel pretty sick this morning!! 🤦🏻‍♀️
