Bridging warfarin prior to colonoscopy
After posting on here that I had been told to stop warfarin five days before a colonoscopy, and getting lots of helpful advice, I rang the hospital department where I was due to have the procedure and said I didn't want to stop warfarin without bridging. The specialist nurse from an associated hospital

Hello lovely ladies - thank you for all your well wishes. Well I'm finally home & in my own bed. Ding ding, round 2!
Hello lovely people, Back in June, I had my first op to remove what they thought was a large ovarian cyst. After histology, this was confirmed to be a muscinous tumour and on Tuesday next week, I go in for my second op to remove the right ovary, fallopian tube and appendix as well as have biopsies taken

How can someone with APS got diagnosed with MS
I was at the clinic today, she is excellent in her field especially APS. I've been on Fragmin x 2 10.000 units for a year. (But put back on waferin after a year as I got lost in the system ) & I told her what has been happening, (hair loss etc). I also told her that on the leaflet about Fragmin, all

Scratch done and prostap injected...
Hi ladies Had the scratch this morning... Honestly it was nothing to worry about just ten seconds of a slight cramping in my stomach but that was it. The worst part was having the metal thing pulled out at the end. Had the prostap injection too and next appointment on the 28th to make sure I've down

Complex Diagnostic Route Ends !
Hello again, my son-in-law has had months of seeing different "experts" since a sudden hearing loss/tinnitus which I posted here with many helpful replies. He began with a doctor he saw at The Portland Hospital who was very good and he started him on aspirin and referred him to a private haematologist

Another PE or pneumonia or the big C. My thyroid has gone haywire, also my folic acids are high.
I had a fall in March and hurt myself badly and felt like the symptoms of a PE. 4 days later the pain was horrific and a locum doctor diagnosed it has Pneumonia. She put me on a course of a strong antibiotic, it got worse and she put me on another weeks of antibiotics, but it still was getting worse
