At last! Something that works
I also have 3 spine
fractures
and that is being controlled by slow release morphine. My GP wanted to try me on Buprenorphine patches. What a mistake! I have never been so ill in all my life.

To those starting out!
October last year I started this program c25k. But after just a week I got shin splints and had to stop! I was six stone overweight and my body couldn't even manage wk one! I spent the next six weeks just walking 30 mins a day. Getting my strength up and my shin splints gone. I came back to the program

Further treatments
I always appreciate the knowledge and experience of this group. After DaVinci surgery, Gleason 4X3, cancer was extracapsular and into a node or 2, I’ve been on Firmagon, monthly shots for about a year. Avoided chemo due to heart problems and with those Cardiac issues, Firmagon seems the best hope

Hiatal hernia and bisphonates...to take or not to take?
My mother tried them and couldn't tolerate them due to the same problem but then had 12
fractures
.... I should also add that I have fibromyalgia and am quite exercise intolerant but know I need to be doing something. Again, any suggestions would be welcome!

Go off Firmagon to see if radiation worked?
We've got a decision to make and I'd value any feedback from you. My husband had HIFU 3 years ago and we hoped we were home free. PSA started to rise. We started on Firmagon and an Axumin scan found 3 local lymph nodes with PC, we opted for radiation to the lymph node area (thanks to Tall_Allen for the

What to do now?
Dx 9/95 with Gleason 3+4 and PSA of 16.6. Did 16 months of ADT (Lupron, Finesteride and Casodex). During ADT PSA dropped to < 0.03. Stopped Lupron and Casodex 4/99. Continued Finasteride until Avodart replaced Finasteride on 3/04. PSA rose slowly from <0.03 on 1/00 to 73.2. on 8/20/19. Testosterone

Using Trelstar alone after using zytiga
Hi All, My husband had a PSA of 5 after RP with mets to pelvic and abdominal lymph nodes, 2 small mets to the left lung and 1 in the sacrum, detected via C11 Acetate scan. Gleason 9. After a year on ADT/zytiga/prednisone/xgeva and a PSA of <0.006 my husband stopped the above meds due to QOL issues.

PSA drop after Provenge.
Well, I sure wasn't expecting this. On 6/24/2019 with a PSA of 0.9, I started Provenge. 14 days later my PSA jumped up to 1.4. Again, 14 days (7/26/2019) later my PSA jumped to 2.4, I freaked. Today has been one month since my third and last Provenge infusion. When I went in to discuss the next step

What I learned from today's conference call...
This is the third year that I've listened to the CancerCare Workshop for patients called "Highlights of the ASCO (American Society of Clinical Oncology) 2019 Annual Meeting." The good news for participants on this forum is that there was nothing that I hadn't already heard about here. Thanks to all

Help me ask
Hi all, yesterday my dad’s local oncologist conferred with Dr. Andrew Armstrong at Duke, at Dr. A’s request. They apparently agree on the remaining options for my Dad: chemo, Provenge, Xofigo. It was a bummer to hear the onco tell me that Dr. A said we didn’t need to come see him now...we like Dr.

Early Dutasteride Monotherapy in Patients With Elevated PSA Following Robot-Assisted Radical Prostatectomy
Interesting new study (off-topic for most of us) [1]. "We retrospectively analyzed RARP patients whose pathological stage is T2a to T3b without lymph node or distant metastasis from 2007 to 2017. Hi all, I'm Wil. 66 y.o Black male. I was diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2008. Needless to say my life has been changed. My oncologist prescribed Lupron. Since 2008 it has kept my PSA reasonably low. Earlier this year my numbers were rising in spite of the Lupron. Next we tried Xtandi. All I can say
