At what PSA did you switch treatments?
Reading all of these studies, I always see that they have progression free survival. My father is on month 10 right now using zytiga and his PSA ticked up from <0.02 and now is at a 0.06. This would put him on the short end of the stick if this is defined as PSA progression. Yet, I've read that PSA progression

Waiting for next step
Just finished appt with mo. We are concerned about psa increasing at a fast rate, even though it is still low at 0.97. He has scheduled a PET scan to see if there is any progression. If so probably chemo, if not continue zytiga He did. It seem interested in the switch to decadron ??? We’ll

Xtandi Availability at Reasonable Cost
Saw this article from 4/28/2016, "Biolyse Pharma offers to supply enzalutamide (Xtandi) for $3 per pill to Medicare and developing countries " - does anyone know if Xtandi can be had for $3 per pill or less in Canada or anywhere else? Background - March 2018 - had bilateral orchiectomy, then 45 sessions

Up and running again.... post achilles pain
After nearly two weeks on injury couch (with a bit of cycling, and lots of cleaning to do to keep me fit and busy), I found myself pacing the lounge desparate to get out... so at 10pm I braved the dark (in lovely moon light) and went out with my two bouncy 'guard' dogs (not) and ran a super slow 2km

Starting Zytiga questions
My husband ended Xtandi as it was no longer holding/lowering his PSA. He is 76 and could only tolerate half dose Xtandi. Questions regarding Zytiga. Do others take it at bedtime without food? This would be easiest as it follows the same pattern he had with Xtandi. He would do the prednisone at breakfast

Thoughts about Xtandi efficacy
Hi, Mikes PSA has been creeping along Xtandi since October 2018 going up about .5 from 1.0 to 3.7 ( 7/23) his ALP also had been creeping up from 100 in October to 162( 7/23) So they stopped Xtandi 3 weeks ago to prepare him for starting chemo. In those 3 weeks off Xtandi his PSA doubled to 7 and ALP

Is a delayed recurrence post RP more indicative of metastatic cancer than a curable local recurrence?
Then salvage therapy for BCR in the late period, 5 -10 years, would be less successful (or even futile) than salvage therapy when BCR occurs in early period, 1 - 5 years. Has anyone seen statistics on this?

Discouraged
Been taking zytiga with trelstar a year now since diagnosis. Initially psa fell quickly from 352 to undetectable, but since May has been doubling monthly. Today it is 0.97. 😔 I sure was hoping to be on this regimen longer. I go back to dr next Thursday. Hoping to try switching prednisone to

Fish or Cut Bait with Zytiga?
Some of you know my story; RP on January 4th, IMRT starting June 1st just ended last week. 5 Firmagon shots going to Lupron on September 1st. Dr. Richard Lam of Prostate Oncologists in Marina del Ray absolutely wants me on Zytiga starting now for 12 months. Says it will increase likelihood of permanent

FRAX using Sheffield?
I just used a Sheffield.ac.uk site for frax, but Im not sure how to interpret the results or if I did it correctly.. it asked for the make of the machine used in the last test (Hologic)? Mine came back as major osteoporotic 34% and hip as 3.7% That doesn't sound too good to me? could it be that high

Xgeva frequency ?
My latest bone scan on April 8, 2019, showed T-scores as follows: Lumbar spine (-2.4) Left hip (-2.2) Right hip (-2.0) Right femoral neck (-2.6) My understanding of these scores is that the first 4 scores shows osteopenia and the last one shows osteoporosis. My local MO has put me on Xgeva on a three
