Had test results yesterday 're the problems I had when my Consultant changed my Sirdupla Inhaler to
FOSTAIR

Fostair
caused a lot of side effects and allergic reaction.

Increasing seretide
I know that you can use
Fostair
as a reliever but I'm not sure about seretide. I tried asking my doctor for a seperate steroid inhaler but he refused and said that seretide was stronger and better for my case!

When did Fostair come out
I was happily using brown and blue puffers When I saw a nurse, a few years back, I was told that I could not use them any longer as I had to use
Fostair
instead. I would like to know when this change happened Any ideas

CPAP and Inhalers
I have found that I need to use my
Fostair
Nexthaler just before I go to bed for the CPAP machine to function properly. I prefer to use the inhaler with my evening meal but this means that the CPAP machine misbehaves at night and tries to float me up to the ceiling.

Combination inhaler not lasting 12 hours
I use
Fostair
but find it rarely lasts the full 12 hours as stated. Regularly it's between 7 to 9 hours. Does anyone else have this issue. PS I tried spiriva as an add on but it seemed to lose its oomph after a few days and was giving me palpitations.

Dry powder inhalers irritation
A few months ago I had the same problem with
Fostair
which was also dry powder and immediately after taking a puff I felt like an irritation and the tight chest was becoming worse.

Update on Fostair
I have stopped
Fostair
but to be honest I don't know if this is the cause. I am not qualified to diagnose. My daughter wants to take me to the out of hours Dr. At my local hospital when she gets home from work. It's so annoying not getting any answers or seeing a Dr.

Inhaler slightly makes breathing worse. I think....
I use
Fostair
100/6 2 puffs twice a day. What I seem to notice is that usually I am ready for the next dose after 12 hours. Sometimes before that. But as my breathing has been good recently, I've noticed that when I take my two puffs my breathing actually gets very slightly worse.

Fostair 200/6
I have only just started on the
Fostair
200/6 and I’m wondering how long it takes to show signs of effectiveness....as the continued breathlessness and incredible tightness around the ribcage is becoming rather tedious now. Any help would be truly appreciated.....thank you.

Allergy Testing
I was prescribed Pred,
Fostair
, Montelukast and Avamys and am on a waiting list for an injection. Now I just have a puff or two of ventalin when I get wheezy and I'm fine. The thing is after four years of NHS and BUPA care they did not test for this.

Confused re using blue inhaler
I was started on
Fostair
100/6 but this was increased around a month ago by the GP to
Fostair
200/6. To be honest, I've kind of been muddling through on my own as I haven't really been getting brilliant help from my surgery.

It was at this point that I decided to just stick with

Referral to respiratory?
I'm currently on
fostair
200, salamol reliever, antihistamines, steroids and montelukast. I'm taking my reliever 6-10 time every 30-60 minutes day and night. I'm back at my GPS Tuesday and they said if it's not improved with this latest course of steroids they will refer me to respiratory.
