Is Fostair 100/6 blacklisted?
I was recently prescribed
Fostair
100/6 by the hospital respiratory clinic. I was told to get the repeat prescription from my GP, but they say it is blacklisted and they cannot prescribe it. They are going to contact the clinic to discuss it.

A few medical issues since starting DuoResp Spiromax 160/4.5 Budesonide/formoterol three weeks ago
Since my last serious chest infection earlier this year I have been perfectly healthy, active, cough and asthma free, only taking
Fostair
100/6 four times a day (2 x2). However last month asthma syptoms returned; sometimes during the night or day but always on waking.

At my last clinic apppointment they were happy that there has been *some* improvement (with peak flow) and asked that I try stick it out for another 2 month on the

to see if the little improvement becomes a bigger improvement once it's in my system properly.

Best Inhaler for Chronic Bronchitis
I’m considering asking for the
Fostair
small molecule inhaler as I have a slight asthma component. It also contains Beclomethasone which agrees with me. Pulmicort does not and Symbicort made my lungs feel stiff and I could never get a deep breath.

And another meds change.....
On the upside since coming off
fostair
all my muscle pains and cramps vanished. So after chatting at length with the nurse I am trying trelegy. Bizarre to just be using something once a day BUT so far so good.

Asthma decline
Previously
Fostair
had helped with this so my GP prescribed me the lower dose
Fostair
2 puffs BD. This didn't work and a week later I spoke with my GP. I was then put on montelukast 10mg, fexofenadine 120mg and a 5 day course of 30mg prednisolone.
