Help with Iron results
Good morning, I've had an in-depth blood tests done which has flagged multiple issues, it seems my health is in much worse shape than I'd realised. Iron is one of the flagged areas. I'd be grateful if you could advise on what my next steps should be. Results are: Iron 4.9hmol/l (5.8-34.5) Ferretin

Could use encouragement - Depressed and Anxious, New Medication offered by Psychiatrist - It’s been a Hot Minute
I haven’t posted in a while, nor responded to people, but I could really use some encouragement. Sorry! I’m very depressed and anxious these days, SADD getting to me. My psychiatrist has offered a nasal spray 2x a week for 8 weeks that will work for up to five years to decrease depression. I’m waiting

Can anyone help me with my iron levels?
I've read on here that supplementing iron when only ferretin is low can be risky .... But wondered if anyone could give any input on my results? My ferretin isn't great and I want to improve it. Haemoglobin 140 (115 - 165) Serum iron level 18 (10 - 30) Serum transferrin 2.1 (2.0 - 4.0) Transferrin

Continue with oral iron after infusion?
I was successful in obtaining iron infusions with Medicare approval. My iron panels had worsened with my iron % sat decreasing from 28% in April to 15% in July, my TIBC from 333 to 320, iron from 94ug/uL to 48 and my ferritin not improving. (It had originally been 15 in January and increased to 28

Help with iron panel results?
Hi!Can anyone shed any light on these please? May well be being v dim, but I think Ferritin should be higher...what does just out of range Transferrin mean please? CRP is less than 4. On GP's advice I've been taking ferrous fumarate for 3 months - ferritin was 7 in May, so at least that's improving..

Advice on labs, high RT3, high SBHG, low T
This is my first real post on this forum. I'd appreciate if experienced members could take a look at my labs and history and let me know what they think. I'm a 46-year-old male from Canada but living in France for the past 10 years. I've had deteriorating health issues for close to 5 years (likely longer

Target iron levels
Had 3 blood tests over last 9 months to monitor low iron / anaemia and effect of taking iron supplement (ferrous Fumarate 210mg per day). Advised by GP ( week before last blood test) that I am not currently anaemic ( how did they know?) and iron supplement withdrawn. I was also interested in effect

Best IRON supplements for RLS? Currently trying Pramipexole but learning about the risk of augmentation...
I am 33F. I had RLS (in my shins) as a teen-early 20s, but it was usually a sign of being tired and going to bed was enough. Eventually it got worse, moved up to my thighs and would not always go away with sleep... The last 3 years it has increasingly become unbearable. I have it deep in my hips, up

my fourth week on gabapentin-next?
I've suffered with RLS for about 15 years and was prescribed pramipexole about 12 years ago. As I now know, predictably the symptoms eased but eventually the dosage had to be increased until I reached the maximum which was followed by augmentation. Having discovered RLS-UK and read the advice I approached

Transferrin?
Hello! I've been reading and learning so much here - so much knowledge and kindness... I've just got some blood tests back after 1 month on Levo and my TSH is down, T4 up and cholesterol down - yay! There are still some tests to come in, but I just noticed that my transferrin level is below range

Can’t bear that CPAP mask - try a didgeridoo!
The articles that pop up when you’re not really looking. How about a didgeridoo to help with sleep apnoea? I wonder if other wind instruments might help. It’s an old one… https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC1360393/?utm_source=substack&utm_medium=email

Seeking thoughts on lab results (and my condition in general)
Hello all. I'll try to keep my history with this as short as possible. I'm 56, male, and have had RLS for probably half my life. I kept it at bay with Ambien for a big chunk of that time (dumb, I know) until that became untenable. In the past three or four years I've tried Gabapentin (didn't really
