Colonoscopy results
I’ve been looking at
Fodmap
but it seems you need a dietician referral - should I ask the GP about that? Any tips about what I should do next would be very much appreciated

Need a rant. I am beyond fed up. I could do with some suggestions and a shoulder to cry on..
Following the
FODMAP
diet has given me some relief from the bloating but I can still only get any bowel movement with the aid of industrial quantities of very strong laxatives.

Healthy food gives me diarrhea!!
It all started when I was diagnosed with Diverticulitis and since then I really cannot eat any of the fruits or vegetables on the
fodmap
! I'm getting fatter and fatter because I'm sticking to pasta and rice to bulk up meals. I really don't know what to do.

Can anyone help please? Seeing doc today as T3 super low & struggling with low energy and weakness. Be good to have advice pre doc thank you
I also have SIBO and am currently on low
FODMAP
, gluten, grain, dairy free (been gluten free for nearly two years now) eating plenty of meat, fish, eggs, fruit and veg. And taking antimicrobials berberine and oregano plus NAC to kill off SIBO so wonder if affecting thyroid levels in some way?

SIBO Anyone?
Still need to take SIBO breath test, in the meantime he started me on low
FODMAP
diet which has helped (other than constipating) though some things seem to be triggering. Was researching SIBO further and read that one of the causes can be …low bile production from the liver.

Too much or too little fibre?
I was thinking of trying Low
fodmap
again, but i have left it too late now and I don't want to restrict myself further before going away. Sorry for the long post.. :( Just want my life back and to be able to look forward to my honeymoon!

Colour-code your foods!
If it's listed as Low
Fodmap
, it doesn't mean it suits you. Many low Fodmaps I can't eat. And a few high ones are kind to me. And the weirdest thing is, that sometimes our safe food list can change...one way or the other.

New to IBS struggling to find a pattern
I have started eating a low
FODMAP
diet but that isn't helping much and from what I can see online there is a lot of confusion and discrepancy over what can be eaten.

Low TSH
I’ve been wheat, gluten and dairy free since May 22, and low
fodmap
for the past 6 weeks which have greatly helped my digestive issues. My life is ruled by medications/ timings and vitamins s etc in a quest to feel normal, which I don’t.

Lecithins a trigger?
Low
fodmap
no use for me, as there are lots of foods that are supposedly fine to eat, but cause me problems. I think that a common ingredient in lots of the things that trigger me, is lecithin - both soya and sunflower-based. Anyone else have an issue with lecithins?

nausea, churning and fed up
I’ve tried all the usual -
fodmap
, Buscopan, exercise, water. Nothing is working. I’m quite worried about something (more than usual lol) at the moment so not sure whether that’s triggering it. The symptoms are adding to my worry as usual

Rice noodles
The low
fodmap
diet has really helped my IBS symptoms, and I know fermented foods make me much worse so I totally avoid them, particularly as I’ve been treated for SIBO in the past, but I find they crop up everywhere without you realising it.

Struggling with loo frequency
Been on meds, tried
Fodmap
- this helped abit but then found it hard reintroducing foods. On meds still for colitis, started using peppermint oil & tea. Started
Fodmap
again 2 weeks ago, still going to the loo frequently! Not sure what else to do!

A long post - How medication was ruining my life, not making me better! Reassurance for anyone concerned about stopping medication.
I tried the
FODMAP
, IC and anti-inflammatory diet and began taking vitamins. Nothing helped, and I got worse month by month. Then in 2021, a BSGE specialist gynaecologist advised that I start Dienogest with Cerelle in combination. The benefit was that the Dienogest did stop my periods.
