Chest infection was Pneumonia!
Hi After a rough few weeks I've been told my chest infection and flu symptoms was actually pneumonia. I had 2 lots of antibiotics and steroids before I'd started to feel better and breathlessness and peak flow improved. I went back to work (special needs nursery children... Very busy from start to

Attack or not?
So after 27 years of living with asthma, I thought I was pretty clued up on these things but apparently not. I was wondering if anyone had any similar experiences/advice. Basically, after a whole 3/4 weeks of being relatively controlled for me (although nowhere near controlled in reality) my asthma

Can anyone with Asthma/COPD tell me how they cope when they need to use their Reliever inhaler. I have tried to avoid using mine as it makes the heart race and last time caused a hospital admission with AF, but the past two days I have had a very low Peak Flow and feel I would benefit from a puff

Hello ladies, I'm sorry this is a bit of a down post as I am so totally fed up! I'm now 38+5 weeks pregnant with my little one :) I've been having on and off contractions for over a week but still nothing regular :( ended up in hospital last Friday due to suspected waters leaking, which they ended up

Extra air to exhale? (after new meds)
Hi, I've noticed a few changes in my asthma/ breathing patterns and was wondering if anyone had similar experiences or advice which they could share. I've just switched this week from Seretide 500 to symbicort 200 (2 doses/ twice daily at this stage). So far my peak flow has increased slightly (420

Hi, I'm new to the forum! Mum of 3 small children (2,3 and 5) and I've had brittle asthma all my life. For the last 5 years it has been wonderfully controlled on 2 puffs of fostair bd and I've had maybe one or two admissions/steroids a year. Just over 3 weeks ago I was bluelighted in and needed back

peak flow - how often
I had asthma as a child, though 'grew out of it' and have not used any inhalers for years. Though have had times where I have had persistent wheezy coughs that have usually passed on their own without much issue. More recently though I have been having mild issues with breathing, still nothing

Dog dander allergy
Hi, all. I have just found out that I am allergic to my two 8 month old puppies :( it all started about 2 months ago, when I started experiencing a tight chest, and sob, but no wheezing. I was diagnosed with Asthma back in 1987/88 when I developed an allergy to our cat, which we had, had for 14 years
