Hi Vikkilee welcome to the site how long have you felt poorly for and been taken the steroids? It can take a little while sometimes, but i would suggest that in the morning why dont you contact the BLF their number is under the red balloon at the top of the page click on it and give them a tinkle or if you are really worried and things are getting worse contact your doctor.Let us know how you get on.Take care now keep warm. :) Janexx

Thank you Jane, it's the second time I've been on them in 2 weeks it's my 4th day of taking them today and I'm getting worse not better, I've also had an 11 day corse of 625mg augmentin, I've been on numerous pumps( fostair, symbycort) but I've gone back to my seritide 250mg. Sunday night I had to go to hospital and u was put on a nebuliser which cleared it but it's back with a vengeance and my doctor isn't great, I'm finding life really difficult at the moment with 4 young children and work. I dread the winter every year

Hi Vikkilee, My husband suffers with severe copd - I can only sympathise four young children!!! When my husband gets an infection he can end up on three or four courses of antibiotics or steroids before he comes right. The last doctor told us that sometimes this happens it can take a while for things to return to normal - not sure I can agree with him. Eventually I found out that there was a specialist respiratory team in our area and asked to be referred, they have been very helpful - I wonder if you have one in your area. Please call the BLF helpline for advise and if you can change doctors - you need some support. Take care and let us know how you get on. (PS I have put my husband on Vitamin D and C for winter (and I have just been told I am vitamin D deficient I would never have thought it) - trying to fend off the cold bugs our youngest brings home! With much love TAD xx
