Where to start back?
I graduated early December and felt great! I then got the lurgy chest virus that was going around and three weeks later I’m just emerging out of the other side. I saw the asthma nurse this morning and my peak flow is ok and I’m wanting to get back into the swing of things. I was thinking of starting

Help for peak flow
Following a bout of pneumonia and asthma I find my peak flow is under 200. It has been like this for years but now I am struggling. What can I do to boost this after the infections have gone? I am a young 73 year old lady who has brittle asthma that I thought had been under control. Also how soon should

Asthma cough!
I find it really concerning the lack of knowledge the GPs have on asthma and that in this day in age are still focused on peak flow testing which is not a good gage for the asthma cough!!! My peak flow has always been good, peak flow tests upper chest airways and not lower! I have had flare up for weeks

Confused and concerned
I had child asthma which i thought i had grown out of as it had very little bearing through adolescence or into adulthood. At the age of 31 i rebuilt my bathroom, failed to use a mask sensibly for some of the tile cutting and then it all went to pot. On the first week of decemeber i developed this dry

Peak flow good?
Hello new here. Been struggling the last 4 weeks. My peak flow has been consistent, in the range of 600-700 (6 foot male), but I'm still feeling really short of breath and chest feels congested. Feels like I have mucus on chest but can't cough it up. Been using my blue pump about 4 times a day (2 puffs

Can anyone tell me what my lung contrasting lung function scores indicate?
I have had COPD for about 8 years. I had a peak flow meter reading for my COPD in June, which read 31%. I went for another lung function test a few weeks ago at the asma clinic, but got very contrasting results. I had the best of 3 test, for which my first attempt was 31%, the second, 51% and the third

Cough Variant Asthma
Is cough variant asthma harder to treat or diagnose. There seems to be a lot more people diagnosed with it, which is good that it’s being recognised. I was diagnosed 13 weeks ago and am on my third change of medication, Forstair 200/6 now and my second lot of prednisone. I never wheeze, my peak flow

Advice please!
I should have started week 8 on Monday but was feeling terrible and wasn’t able to run. Feeling slightly better, though tired, a little achy and my chest is feeling very tight (asthmatic). Do I rest and start on Monday or the weekend if I can? Do I need to do week 7 again ( I had no problems and finished

Chest Pain?
Hello! Just wanted to know if chest pain is a common symptom for anyone? The past few days I haven't had much tightness, but have started having some chest pain-- it isn't constant, but is kind of a dull soreness or ache. This happened last month too, and when I went into see my specialist, she wasn't

Adult diagnosis
Not sure what to say. I was diagnosed 2017, I'd been coughing incessantly. Got spirometry, xray, peak flow diary Dr said its asthma. Gave me brown inhaler. Towards Xmas last year I had a very bad "panic" episode, not true panic hyperventilating pushed my blood gases haywire. Ttip to A &E. In May

When’s enough, enough?
This year has been so rough with steroids in March, June, 2 lot in August, antibiotics for chest infection September and 2 lots steroids in Oct/ Nov. It’s not even been 6 weeks since my last course of steroids, and my peak flow is so up & down. Good levels one evening & low come the morning & generally
