Nitroglycerin patch to slow prostate cancer might be problematic. Your thoughts?
I was corresponding with someone a couple days ago on one of the posts on this site. He said he was using nitroglycerine patches to possibly show his cancer. I was intrigued by this, especially because I have angina as well as the cancer. Here is the study summary from 2010 supporting use use of a

How long for stents to settle?
Hi, Firstly, sorry for the long post! I am 49 and earlier this year I was suffering with bad heart burn (have a history of gastric issues), which the GPs tried treating with various prazoles ending up with me on Pantoprazole. After talking to one of the GPs (never got to speak to the same one twice!

Breathlessness - is it heartburn?
After suffering a heart attack 18 months ago I generally am feeling good. I am back at the gym and running has got easier and I have lost some weight. Have changed to a vegan diet as well for 6 months. My issue now has been if I am inactive for a couple of days, or the day after I have any alcohol

Micro vascular angina
Hello everyone, I have just spent 3 days in hospital due to increasing episodes of chest pain , laboured breathing and palpitations. ECG and bloods were unchanged but they said the angina was unstable. Had an angiogram yesterday which showed all the arteries and previous stents were clear thankfully.

Strange feeling in my chest, could it be Angina.
Sorry for the long post, but here goes. It is now almost 6 months since my heart attack and subsequent CABG x 6. Before my heart attack I felt healthy and presented no symptoms. I am recovering well after been diagnosed with acute CHD and am feeling so much stronger apart from niggles around the sternum

Shortness of breath post CABG
Good Morning, I really need some advice. My mum had Quadrupled last December. Over the past 3 weeks she has been experiencing shortness of breath and some pain over shoulder, neck and arm. It's not the angina pain she was getting pre surgery and only experienced some tightness around the chest area when

Drink more water they said and new shoes
As most of you know I’m a bit of an intermittent runner, I try but fitting running round work isn’t always easy, I admire the people who get up at 5am and run before work but i haven’t managed that so far, I come home from work most days thinking I’ll just go for a short run, walk in the door, Willow

Had text message from GP , hospital wanted me to have a GTN spray until I’ve had more test done etc etc , sent urgently to Chemist . It wasn’t there ………but I can buy one for £4.90 over the counter which I did , but I’m amazed you can buy that over the counter so cheap and people who pay are being charged

Ptsd after stent heart attack.
After having a heart attack in mid August, I am suffering bouts of depression, crying and the feeling I could die at any moment. In town shopping I had a quite acute chest pain and then realized my GTNspray was at home. I panicked but after a while the pain subsided and I got home Then another sharp

Your Angina pain
I have suffered with Angina pain which led to my bypass in 2017 and more recently which led to my having 2 stents fitted. On the first occasion I had stable angina that only came on when I exerted myself, on the 2nd occasion I had both stable and unstable angina. The pain I suffered was bearable but

Shoulder pain
Hi, Recently I've stared getting a very bad painful ache in my shoulder blades and down arms. Not both together. I used to get a similar pain on my left shoulder blade before I had my triple bypass 20 years ago, and treated it as angina. Not had it again until now, and getting it both sides. It does
