High Blood Pressure
I managed to return to NSR fairly quickly with
Flecainide
and a small Bisoprolol. Unfortunately however, I then developed terrible Nausea coupled with a far greater awareness of my Ectopics which are always with me.

What if the drugs don’t work?...
Flecainide
100mg x 2 and Bisoprolol 2.5mg don’t work so EP said I can stop them because they have no effect so I’m now just on Apixaban. They tried me on digoxin before the ablation which also didn’t work. I’m seeing EP soon for the 3 months’ check ... having a 7 day holter next week ...

Veins and blood thinners
This is a long shot, but although I have been on a number of pills for a few years, ie levothyroxine, bisoprolol, furosemide, pravastatin and losartan, also
flecainide
but that has been stopped after my ablation.

AF ONLY AT NIGHT
Getting anxious at bedtime, I know this doesn’t help I’ve just stopped the dilitazem, it was making me feel so bad Just taking
Flecainide
now. I saw the cardiologist last week and explained this to him.

Just now reacting to medication?
Four months of taking
Flecainide
and 3 weeks of taking digoxin without any side effects. Just Recently started feeling dizzy. Anyone else experience this? Not in Afib or anything. Wondering if it’s just anxiety that’s causing it or the meds.

Still new, in a rough patch in the mental game of AF
I did take my 100 mg
Flecainide
PIP last night, with 6.25 mg Toprol (half of my previous dose; though small, seems to have helped). It did eventually calm things down and today I feel the fatigue and drugged aftereffects of last night.

Change of heart behavior
I've had a few short burst of AF and my GP has increased my
flecainide
to 2 x 100mg per day. I'm trying to get to see an EP at Liverpool which is a real struggle. If I'm resting I just get ectopics but any lifting, walking or activity and the AF kicks in.

Thyrotoxicosis
Am on 10mg Bisoprolol, 10mg Apixaban, and 200mg
Flecainide
daily. This concoction does seem to keep my heart under control - but it seems a lot of medication. The problem is that the thyrotoxicosis can itself cause palpitations.

Post ablation 1 month follow-up plan
My stats related to episodic AF: Carvedilol x 8 years,
Flecainide
since March ‘18 & Xarelto. I’m 69 years old. Ablation was done on July 9th and I went for followup with the EP earlier this week.

Feeling low
As I was on the road to stop taking my
Flecainide
before a return visit to see cardiologist I decided to only take one a day, not the two prescribed. By day 3 I was not in a good place. Dizzy, nausea, spots before my eyes and almost passed out.

Flecainide
He very kindly agreed to 100 of
Flecainide
to be used as a PIP. Since then it has been increased, firstly to 50x2 plus PIP and then to 100x2 plus PIP. With each increase so has the strength and length of my AFib episodes so now I have decided to slowly decrease the dose and feel much better.

New medical term...….
However, midday today, from nowhere, AF kicked in again, not severe, but enough for me to take
Flecainide
PiP. All is back to normal now, well within 2 hours, but I think this confirms that the decision to proceed was the right one.
