Just now reacting to medication?

Four months of taking Flecainide and 3 weeks of taking digoxin without any side effects. Just Recently started feeling dizzy. Anyone else experience this? Not in Afib or anything. Wondering if it’s just anxiety that’s causing it or the meds. Odd that side effects manifest so long after starting taking them.

I’m interested that you immediately are linking the dizziness with the meds when there could be lots of other reasons which are unrelated to either AF or the meds.

May I suggest that you go see your GP and get checked out. Do you take your BP? Do you take your own ECG’s or monitor your heart rate or Heart rate variability?

Low BP - which could be a side effect of the meds - is a possible cause as is slow heart rate as is an ear infection.

I have a BP cuff at home. It’s mostly high normal. Also have the Kardia device. Nothing unusual there.

Hi. Are you dizzy or giddy (a little vertigo). I had this with Digoxin. It can come on a while later after starting it. It was stopped. However the effects of Digoxin on the AF were excellent. So found myself in difficulties. Watch how it goes. The Flec should sort you out tho.

I’m dizzy, but not fall over dizzy. How long did it take for you to go away?

Once the Digoxin stopped , just a few days. Unfortunately sometimes these meds can leave stuff in the head for a time .

I took Flecainide for about three weeks and then started feeling really dizzy to the point where I felt I was going to pass out although didn't. It made my heart rate dangerously low so came off of it and now on Sotalol.
