Flecainide 100-150-now 200 and possibly higher timescale
Hi All First question from me today is what sort of timescales did people have when they went from 100 flec upwards to eventual ablation as we know your stopped at 300 mg ... So I started on 100 initially and this was good although a few blips occurred so ideally I should have started on 150 flec .

Heart rate of 52-54 bpm on. Bisoprolol 2.5mg and flecainide 100mg. Is this ok?
I’m rather concerned that since I added
flecainide
to my daily medications my heart rate has dropped from the low 60s to the low 50s. Even with hard exercise now I can’t get my bpm above 75bpm. I do feel ok generally and do an hours hard aerobic exercise a day.

Difference between Afib and atrial flutter
I’m on metoprolol Tartrate and
flecainide
. What precisely IS the difference between Afib and flutter? Will a fourth ablation help?

Pm ..
I had been on
flecainide
/Bisoprolol , carefully monitored, plus I was on Amiodarone/Bisoprolol for many years again carefully monitored, this last mix was ok but side effects weren’t very nice . I have now a 3 lead pacemaker on no heart meds , so far all ok 🤞

Flecainide and Cardioversion?
One way of getting back into SR is (as advised by my EP) another cardioversion attempt but this time with
Flecainide
beforehand (and probably afterwards). I notice that many people on this forum seem to get on with
Flecainide
(sometimes for decades).

Flecainide and beta blockers
Is it absolutely necessary to take beta blockers with
flecainide
? I took atenolol with
flecainide
and ended up with excruciating backaches. Dr. changed my meds to carvedilol/coreg to take with the
flecainide
. That combo made me so dizzy that I spent two days laying in bed unable to walk.

Second ablation update
Only had two episodes of short lived AF, which responded well to
Flecainide
taken as a PIP. HR steady between 68 - 80 depending on what I am doing. Fingers crossed 🤞, my EP has got it sorted this time.

Anyone here taking ONLY Bisoprolol daily for Paroxysmal Afib - it seems great!?
Hello, I started on this regime 6 days ago after a bad reaction to a month of daily
Flecainide
and so far it seems like a wonder drug! No episodes and not even feeling anywhere near one.

Thoughts on Daily Bisoprolol with Sotalol as PIP?
Given my adverse reaction to
Flecainide
, if I do have an episode, the intention is to try first Bisoprolol 1.25mg as a PIP, and if that doesn’t work, 40mg of Sotalol, which I have never tried before. Any experience with this combination (or thoughts) would be much appreciated.

Adjusting to flecainide
To those of you who take
flecainide
I am wondering how long it took you to adjust to taking it? A few months ago I tried it for 10 days and felt very tired, weak, and not as alert as normal. Due to the fact that my afib is becoming more frequent I’m thinking I might try taking it again.

WPW syndrome
I am already taking
flecainide
to stop ectopic beats which have bothered me for years, and it's working well. I do have a Kardia monitor and using it today I can see definite curves... I have sent it to her, but would like to hear from anyone who has this please.

Questions to ask electophysiologist??
Increase in episodes in 2019, prescribed metropolol and
flecainide
. Summer 2020,
Flecainide
was increased and consult with electrophysiologist recommended after several back to back Afib episodes, necessitating trips to ER. Thanks so much for your help.
