Just a quick update following my second ablation which took place 21st December. Thankfully I understand all went well, they said they had to do two cardioversion as well during my procedure. It took a little over six hours, I was kept in hospital overnight and was discharged late afternoon the next day.
I am now into my third week of recovery, and thankfully my BP is remaining stable at around 110/75 - 120/70 and no more feelings of faint. Only had two episodes of short lived AF, which responded well to Flecainide taken as a PIP. HR steady between 68 - 80 depending on what I am doing. Fingers crossed 🤞, my EP has got it sorted this time. Still not managed any great distances of walking, but doing short circuits around my sisters garden throughout the day, so pleased with that for now.
Will be staying with my sister and brother in law for a few more weeks thankfully, they have been golden yet again. Really don’t feel like going back home to be on my own just yet, really enjoying the company and being ‘looked after’.
I do hope you are all coping ok with the current situation, I am so pleased to be with my family at the moment, and I know I have been so very fortunate to have had my second ablation undertaken.
May I take this opportunity to wish you all well, and thank you for your wonderful support. I will let you know how things progress.

Hello Kaz,Thank you for your support, sorry for delay in reply but spoke a bit too soon! Have had a couple of wobble days, HR going a bit barmy and feeling all wishy washy. Feeling a bit better now thank fully. Didn’t want my sister too see as she can really worry, so bit difficult trying to act normal when feeling a bit rough. Never mind, better today. Fingers crossed all part of the blanking period recovery road.

Pleased to hear everything is moving in the right direction. Enjoy having your sister for company and being looked after, it’s so important to have good people around us to help us recover. Take things slowly, no rush. Best wishes.
