My doctor thought my ecg showed some signs of this (a curve on the upwards slope) but she wasn't worried. I am already taking flecainide to stop ectopic beats which have bothered me for years, and it's working well. I do have a Kardia monitor and using it today I can see definite curves... I have sent it to her, but would like to hear from anyone who has this please. I'm not worried at the moment, but I know me, and I will worry given half a chance!

WPW syndrome
I don’t have WPW but was checked for it as a result of developing SVT, and can tell you that WPW is generally not considered serious unless it occurs alongside other conditions like AF, and in many cases is actually ‘curable’; most people with SVT are checked for it because it’s an ‘easy’ fix either via medication, lifestyle changes, a combination of both, and/or ablation. Ablation has a very high success rate in WPW, far better than for idiopathic arrhythmias treated with it. In quite a few cases, though, if there are only infrequent bouts of tachycardia, no treatment is required at all.

Very helpful, thanks so much!
Hi my daughter has wpw, but would not have the ablation. She is on a beta blocker.
Thank you. I'm getting anxious I know. Heart is pounding and the vicious circle begins
I know what you mean, I have an enlarged heart, with a small asd and type 2 bicuspid valve. The latter two are from birth. But only found in 2018/19. That was due to passing out at work, being told bt gp all was OK. So I said something, which got the rolling to actually after years of complaining about breathlessness, was sent for an chest xray. Which found the enlarged heart. So am being monitored with a yearly echo, not had that this year though? Try not to worry to much, and yes thats easy to say. They know what they are doing. Hope all goes well for you.Regards Dee.
