Coagulation Cascade blood tests-to do or not to do? Even on Xarelto blood thinner?
Fibrinogen
Activity or
Fibrinogen
antigen plus 5. CBC(complete metabolic profile) Do these tests sound appropriate as a baseline? Especially since I'm an avid Xarelto blood thinner med taker since Feb 14th.

Derived Fibrinogen
Everything was ok or within normal parameters, however his Derived
Fibrinogen
level was 5.75 g/L (2.0 - 5.3) Above high reference limit. His serum prostate specific antigen level was 0.31 ug/L (0.0 - 3.0), which appears normal. I know nothing about
Fibrinogen
in fact I have never heard of it.

Skin Biopsy
Hi, had a punch skin biopsy done on my arm few months ago and it says “direct immunoflourescence shows granular deposition of IgM at the dermo-epidermal junction, together with
fibrinogen
in occasional dermal vessels”. Says is non diagnostic but suggests connective tissue disease.

Systemic immune-inflammation index, serum albumin, and fibrinogen impact prognosis in CRPC patients treated with first-line docetaxel.
CONCLUSIONS: Pretreatment SII, albumin, and
fibrinogen
are independent prognostic factors in mCRPC patients treated with first-line docetaxel. Moreover, the combined use of SII, albumin, and
fibrinogen
levels may help us to identify the high-risk populations for treatment decisions.

To Take Statins or Not - That is the Question - Here is the Answer:
Other important biomarkers for CVD risk include: - LDL-P or ApoB - homocysteine -
fibrinogen
- Lp-pla2 or PLAC test; - hb-A1C - average blood glucose over last 3 months; - ALT - proxy for liver fat - Uric acid - proxy for sugar in the diet Good luck to all. P.S.

Lupus Anticoagulant query-part 3!
She gave me copies of my blood results, and I did notice my prothrombin time is a bit low -11.5 (ref range 12-15) and my
fibrinogen
is a bit high-4.8 (ref range 2.0-4.5). She didn’t comment on it though. Anyway! That’s all for now.

Prognostic Value of Pretreatment Plasma Fibrinogen.
Fibrinogen
circulates in the blood in readiness for clot formation. It requires the release of the enzyme thrombin for it to be converted into the fibrin strands that form a clot.
Fibrinogen
above the normal range is associated with inflammation.
