Advice after latest test result.
Hello. Looking for some advice from you lovely people regarding the latest TSH result. Yes, TSH only as that's all the doc requested....(head in hands). After a bad reaction to Teva 75mcg, 3 weeks into taking Teva 75mcg one day, and Accord 50mcg the next, the pharmacist recommend I just go up to 75mcg

Medichecks ferritin range 30-650 ug/L
I have been having trouble for years with low ferritin, despite eating black pudding 3 times a week and taking ferrous fumarate. This last week got full thyroid blood tests back and thought ‘oh good , ferritin had gone up a bit to a decent 77’, but no, the range had been changed to a huge 30-650 ug/L

Low iron levels
I have been put on
Ferrous
Sulphate
tablets because my serum ferritin was only 11 (lower limit of normal is 15) It was picked up from a routine blood test but I have been even more fatigued than ever for some while now, had palpitations and I am naturally pale skinned.

Help for extreme pain in thighs and arms
I took my last prednisone tablet mid May (GCA diagnosed late April 2019); cortisol test in June was 203 (reference range in Canada is 135-537); 380 in September so my adrenal glands are well on their way to recovery. I have been on Actemra injections since October 2019, now every three weeks (until January

severe Pain
Hi All,I’m new on this page so please bear with me. My GP after a blood test recommended I take Ferrous Sulfate 200mg per day. Well I suffer chronic stomach pains, and have done for over 10yrs,to which I’m not entirely sure why, however that would take to long to go into. I’ve had the tablets now

Depressed and desperate

Help with iron panel results please
Hi, I had an iron panel done in July following years of trying to get iron levels up with Ferrous Fumarate, without any luck. Results attached. On consultation with my GP we agreed for me to try a Mirena coil. However leading up to the date for inserting this I freaked about the actual procedure and

Week 9 run 3 - DONE!
Last run of the programme completed this afternoon, in bright sunshine. I'm particularly pleased that I've managed to finish as I originally started the C25K back in May but had to stop as I had injured my back. It would be over 8 weeks before I could begin to run again, starting over at Week 1.

Newly Diagnosed Hypothyroidism
Commenced on
ferrous
sulphate
for 3 months, bloods re-tested and ferritin was 27. Told to stay on the
ferrous
sulphate
for another 3 months, which after this I felt great. Fatigue has slowly been creeping back so requested my bloods to be repeated. Ferritin 66 but FT4 is 8.9 and TSH is 51.5.

Help please.
last night my right leg started jerking around 8pm. Had a bath with Epsom salts. Took medication around 9.30, legs still jerking in bed under weighted blanket. No sleep. Got up to read and do stretches. Waited until 1.30 to take extra codeine. Right leg continued to jerk. Had another bath with Epsom

Give up iron supplements, including the ferrous fumarate in gluten free bread.
I know exactly how you feel, even if you are eating gluten-free bread. Unfortunately, most if not all gluten free breads (like most other breads) contain ferrous fumarate to boost their iron concentration. But, unfortunately, the ferrous ion can undergo the Fenton reaction in which the hydrogen peroxide

Reducing Pramipexole
I’m hoping this will be of interest to some of you. Any comments really welcome. I am reducing my pramipexole, by half a tablet every 2 to 3 weeks. Currently I’ve cut out 2 x half tablets and about to cut out the third half. I’ve also had a full iron panel blood test. I discussed with the Doctor
