total confusion
So I went to see a so called top doctor in Belgium the other day, supposedly one of the best. Before going there, I had extensive labs done (blood and 24 h urine). I feel pretty well overall, work full-time, lead a normal life...I feel tired from time to time, but who doesn't...?! Anyway, it seems

Medrol
I have been on Medrol since November 2011. For a while, I needed 6 mg daily. For the past year, I have taken 4 mg daily. I have tried to wean off it several times, unsuccessfully. I took my usual dose the day before yesterday, so 48 hours ago. I then decided to start taking Medrol at night instead

DHEA...not sure what to think?!
I stumbled on this extremely interesting article on DHEA: http://www.drdebe.com/articles/dhea-the-real-story In the past four years, I have seen two so called Hertoghe doctors. When I went to see them, I had been on T4 drugs for about ten years, so it was already established that I suffered from hypothyroidism

NDT and adrenal fatigue
I would love to hear from people on Armour or Erfa how you are doing, especially since STTM has been claiming lately that Armour was reformulated again (and has been working even LESS well than it did after the 2009 reformulation...) and, apparently, that Erfa, too, has changed, although the company

dark circles under the eyes?
I seem to recall reading somewhere that dark circles under the eyes is one of the symptoms of adrenal fatigue. Does anyone know if that is true? I have had dark circles under my eyes for years, and nothing seems to help. I have wasted a fortune on products supposed to make them disappear, without any

adrenal fatigue treatment?
I have a question about adrenal fatigue that I hope someone will be able to help me answer. I was diagnosed with adrenal fatigue back in 2011. Since then, I have been on Medrol (4-6 mg daily depending on my condition) prescribed by one Hertoghe doctor in Belgium. Not totally happy with the results,

Why are we all struggling just now? Is it atmospheric mould? Am sure it isn't Christmas!
I have noticed on this forum and some others , most folk are really struggling at the moment with worsening flares. I remember reading somewhere that atmospheric mould was really bad for us , so maybe we all rent out some jumbos and fly to the south of France and live in a commune over Christmas! Seriously

instead of or in addition to estrogen and progesterone?
I have been reading a lot about alternative treatment for menopause problems lately. My problems are not that bad actually; at least not yet (I'll turn 47 later this month, but I read somewhere that hypothyroid women tend to go through menopause a few years earlier than euthyroid women where the average

wean off synthetic steroid drugs?
I have been thinking a lot about adrenal supplements lately...I was diagnosed with adrenal fatigue four years ago, and told that I would need to be on Medrol (4-6 mg daily) for the rest of my life. My doctor is a so called Hertoghe doctor in Belgium. I was also told I would not be able to take HC, as

Temporal Arteritis in 23 year old male
Hello, I am a 23 year old male and around mid March 2015 I woke up (got up from lying down and raised head) and felt a sharp gush of blood above my right ear that turned into a general pressure that remained to this day. The pressure like feeling remained above my right ear and moved to my right temple

has anyone here used estrogen?
I hope it's ok to ask this question here, but there is so much knowledge and expertise here that I really hope that someone has come across the same problem: I was put on Estrogel in January 2012, along with Utrogestan (natural progesterone). Estrogel was to be taken day 5-25 of cycle, and progesterone

hypertension questions
I have had reason lately to wonder what affects blood pressure most: - salt - DGL (licorice root) - hypothyroidism - all of the above, or something else...? I am asking because I have been on blood pressure medication and beta-blockers for the past two years. Recently, my family doctor and I decided

Thigh swelling, Dr. ordered 20 mgs of medrol as part of treatment
Hi Everyone, hope all are well and getting through the GCA , PMR and pred. A week ago had a major exacerbation of the meralgia paresthetica (femoral cutaneous nerve -- incorrectly-- attaches by tendon growth to the inguineal tendon) I am dealing with. Pain was very bad, entire thigh muscle spasming

confusing advice, would appreciate input on this
OK, so I would like some input from others here: Last night, I had a phone consult with a person originally trained as a nurse and a mid-wife, who now works with hormonal therapies and rebalancing hormonal imbalances. She was recommended to me by someone in another forum. A lot of what she told made

wean off Medrol for adrenal fatigue?
I have a question about adrenal fatigue and hope it's OK to ask it here. I was diagnosed with adrenal fatigue four years ago, based on blood and 24 h urine (the latter showing even lower cortisol levels than blood), and put on Medrol. At most, I have taken 6 mg daily (which I was told is considered

can adrenaline cause anxiety attacks?
Sorry if this question sounds strange, but I have had the most unusual experience in the past few days, and I wonder if it could be adrenaline-related: A few days ago, I started taking Nutri Advanced Adrenal Extra, or NAX as it is often referred to, which some UK patients have had recommended to them
