It's a mystery...
Prior to experiencing this bout of diarrhea, he abruptly stopped taking his
Famotidine
(Pepcid). He had been told that he could stop taking it, but he opted to stop cold turkey rather than wean himself off.

Slow irregular and missed heart beats
My husband has been on Ramipril for 14 years, together with bisoprolol, aspirin, atorvastatin and
Famotidine
, without any side effects. However, 3 months ago, he started to have episodes of a slow irregular heart beat around 40 - 45 beats a minute with missing beats.

How do you get diagnosed on the NHS
A couple of months ago I started on
Famotidine
, mainly for the acid reflux. It kinda helped a bit with the GI issues temporarily but really helped with everything else - the fatigue, joint pain, skin swelling etc. I don't want to be on it long-term however.

Declining eFGR
My main concern (and seems to be for a lot of people on this forum) are the use of other tablets. 18 months ago I was on 1 x
Famotidine
per day for my Acid Reflux. After witnessing lower abnominal pain I decided to stop taking them about four months ago.....guess what, no stomach pain.

Silent reflux causing ongoing problems.
I currently take 30mg Lansoprazole twice a day and
famotidine
before bed. The GP said I'm on the highest dose of meds that she can prescribe. Has anyone else had an op for such a small hernia? If so, was it successful? Which op did you have?

Has anyone tried cabbage juice for heartburn?
I've tried omeprazole and
famotidine
for two months. Still had heartburn every day. I just bought a small juicer and drank a cup this morning and two cups tonight. I had no heartburn today. I'll keep this post updated with my progress. I was just wondering if anyone else has tried this?

How long do PPIs take to work?
I have acid reflux and I’ve been on
Famotidine
, Esomeprazole, each for 2 weeks, and now omeprazole for 6 weeks. Cut out all acidic and spicy food. I still have heartburn every day. I usually get it at around noon. How long do these PPIs take to work? Just wondering if they’re not even helping.

heartburn / Haitus hernia treatment
two endoscopies have showed nothing sinister, a 3cm hernia and mild gastritis (at separate points) I’ve been given omeperzole intermittently, where the symptoms always come back after treatment, the doctor has given me a 8 week course of
Famotidine
but I fear the same thing will happen.

Omeprazole/Lansoprazole on methotrexate
He has been talking about giving me medication but says that Omeprazole and Lansoprazole aren't advised with mtx so is talking about a drug called
Famotidine
. Has anyone had similar issues or tried
Famotidine
? Appreciate any advice, thanks. Xx

Tapered off- but....
Well- I had them both, 2 weeks apart and no PMR flare 😄 BUT two things have happened: the acid reflux which started at the beginning of pred and took a long time to improve with
Famotidine
(not PPI!), began to return.

Acid Reflux and RLS
Can someone summarize the current thoughts regarding the use of proton pump inhibitors (omeprazole, pantoprazole, etc) versus H2 receptor antagonists (
famotidine
, ranitidine, etc ) for patients diagnosed with RLS and/ or PLMD?

MCAS, but possible Masto?
I take fexofenadine, montelukast,
famotidine
and quercetin at present for stabilisation. I have what looks like a petechial rash all over my abdomen, and on other areas of my body. I am concerned that it is TMEP or Masto.

Follow up to my last post about nausea & unable to eat.
They came with my
famotidine
(ant acid med) 2 hours after they brought me my breakfast, which I couldn't touch until 11.am and also my Pred at that time. My insulin didn't arrive until before lunch. Then they wanted to give me the wrong dose.
