Cancer that doesn't express PSMA
Hello everyone - thanks in advance for any thoughts or opinions! Here's the abbreviated version of my story: My father was diagnosed at 51 and died at 52 of metastatic prostate cancer (think his PSA at time of diagnosis was in the 40s, but cannot remember for sure). I've been diligent with PSA and

Salvage treatment for radiorecurrent PCa
If I’m lucky I’ll soon be facing a decision as to which salvage treatment to have for radiorecurreent PCa. By lucky I mean that if upcoming tests show no spread outside of the prostate and I’m a candidate for salvage treatment. The salvage treatments I’m considering are SBRT, Brachytherapy and Cryotherapy

Finally, weaning off prednisone after 15 years.
I have not posted in a while. About 5 years ago my blood pressure went up (180/110). I was put on over 10 different blood pressure meds. Nothing took it down. Last November I was diagnosed, via kidney biopsy, with something called MGRS (monoclonal gammopathy of renal significance). The illness

I am a 29 year old female with Graves Disease and have recently been diagnosed with a thyroid nodule with a-typical cells. F3/F4 Diagnoses
Hi All. This is my first post. I had a fibroscan back in July and the nurse who performed it told me I had high-level F3, possibly creeping into F4. I’ve been referred to the Cirrosis Surveillance Team at my local hospital, but my first appointment isn’t until the middle of October. I’ve done a lot of

Normal labs and US but Spider angiomas
Hello, I have been really worried about my liver since May of last year. I felt guilty about how much wine I was consuming during and after the pandemic, so I decided to cut way way back and finally go get checked out last May. I was feeling a dull ache near my liver so I was convinced I had cirrhosis

PSA acting very weird
Recurrent prostate cancer after RP in 2018...though seemingly not metastatic...yet. Haven't done treatment. My story is in the profile and bio. Anyway, PSA got as high as the 9's earlier this year...then fell to 7.7 in July...and now in September registers 3.4. No idea what's happening or why.

question about cirrhosis
Has anyone had cirrhosis from Hep C, portal hypertension, enlarged spleen, diabetes. All these diagnoses have my anxiety at a high level.

Zanubrutinib and kidney stones
I have been on Zanubrutinib for four years and my blood results are normal. In the last month, I have been urinating blood and CT scans show kidney stones. Does anyone know if Zanubrutinib contributes to stones?

If PSA decreases in MHsPC but ALP increases , is one still castrate sensitive ?
I know that PSA decreasing or remaining steady while on hormone therapy means one is hormone sensitive but if PSA decreases but ALP increases , does that still mean one is hormone sensitive ?

Chromogenic Factor X Blood Test
Does anyone use this blood test, instead of or in conjunction with a Protime, to monitor their level of anti-coagulation? Successful? Many thanks for your responses.

Lost my mother
Hello everyone I am here to share my story of my mother who lost her battle to sepsis and chronic kidney disease. It was painful to watch her lying on the ICU bed and with ventilator. I lost her on the 18th of April 2024. My heart cannot accept the fact that I have lost her and she is no more with me

Diagnosed with cirrhosis in2022 from hepatitis C. Got treatment for the hepatitis and cured. Now it’s every 6 months of scans and bloodwork with is always said to be stable. This month the scan showed severe enlarged spleen most likely due to increased portal hypertension. Went from 1 to1.3cm. Still

good news on fibroscan
after worrying about my husband’s fibroscan today, all went well. He was told he has no scarring on his liver and just a little bit of fat (she said to be expected with almost 79 year old). Re his high blood reading (ELF 9.8) the grapher also said that levels can fluctuate and his one high reading

clarification
hi everybody, my EP reassured me that my chad’s score was 0 so an AC was not needed . I’ve now read something that has concerned me , if an episode lasts for more than 24 hrs a clot can form and a stroke may follow. my longest episode was 18 hrs and now I’m worried if I get a 24 hr episode I could

Cirrhosis of the liver , fluid
Hi everyone. Hope you are all well. I have Cirrhosis of the liver and after a review with my consultant 2 weeks ago we stopped my spironolactone. Everything seemed fine, kept and eye on weight as was told and between Saturday and Sunday I suddenly gained 4 pounds. On Friday I had root canal treatment
