Gaining weight on Levo
Hey everyone, first time posting: First a little backstory: Diagnosed with hypothyroidism in 2002 at age 25, put on Levothyroxine and settled on 75mg/6 days a week. Was on this dosage for the years following. In August 2017 my endo told me that my hypo is autoimmune based so I started googling and found

Lining has right pattern but won’t thicken. Anyone else had this?
Hi I’m attempting my second frozen transfer. Lining started well at baseline scan but had not progressed beyond 6.9mm at second scan a week later so the clinic upped my Progynova dose from 8mg to 10mg daily. Just had my third scan after 3 days of the higher Progynova dose, and my lining has the right

Feeling very puffy on levo and HRT
Hi there. I was diagnosed 8 weeks ago as having borderline hypothyroidism and prescribed Levothyroxine, 50ug. I also take transdermal oestrogen (2 pumps daily) and oral progesterone and have done without problems for two years. Since beginning this combination, my energy has improved considerably. However

Due to breast cancer 20 months ago which was estrogen positive I have to take Anastrozole which is a AI (aromatase inhibitor). This can deplete bone density quickly hence I had to have a dexa scan which found I had osteoporosis. Due to this I was prescribed Alendronic Acid which had awful side effects

Help Reviewing My Mothers Thyroid Bloods
Hi everyone! I’m posting this on behalf of my mother who was diagnosed With hypothyroidism over twenty years ago. Her GP has been monitoring her over the years but recently she’s not been feeling so well. Her GP wanted to decrease her dose after testing here TSH which was very slightly “below range”.

Short synacthen test for hypothyroidism? Adrenal insufficiency
Hello I'm just wondering if anyone can shed some light on the test above with regards to HRT ?? The paperwork arrived today to go for this test early July but only tells me to stop any steroid based meds on the day, but when I had a look before at other hospital preparation s they recommend stopping

My experience of the Mirena IUD and Mirena Crash - please read if you are considering having the coil, or are about to have it removed
Hey everyone, I hope you're all having as pain-free a day as possible. I thought I would write a post dedicated to my experience with the Mirena, as if I had seen something like this before I got mine I could have saved years of trouble and wouldn't be in the position I am now with the dreaded crash

Three months after laparoscopy
Hi all, I had a laparoscopy mid February. Endo was removed from the ligament of my uterus and was also found on my ovary. All on my left side. My recovery has been quite slow. Originally my pain has always been on my right side. However since my laparoscopy I am now in pain on the left. Pretty much

Best contraception for hypothyroid?
Hello ladies, I was wondering what contraception you used, if any? Over the years I’ve had Mirena coil, but I was getting awful cystic spots around my jawline that seemed to be worsening. I decided to try the Yasmin pill, as it was supposed to be great for reducing hormonal spots. And it did work to

Vaginal bleeding with bowel movement? 😅
Not the nicest post, I have the Mirena coil fitted and low oestrogen combined pill on top to stop bleeding, all working well to stop periods. Still have daily pain but manageable, worse when sitting or driving for more than 10 mins and constant back pain. I have noticed that when I have a bowel movement

Vitamin C before ET
I have a cold coming and stupidly downed a 1000mg vitamin c tablet the day before my ET tomorrow. Worried that it will increase my estrogen level too much. Argh. So annoyed with myself. How long does it take to pass through the body?

Is it back...again?! Really struggling to find the strength to deal with this 😭
I’m just wondering if it is possible to get endometriosis again if you’ve had a hysterectomy and your ovaries removed? I’m on HRT because I’m only 30 and I was told there would be health risks if I didn’t have an oestrogen replacement. Can endometriosis grow/return because of the HRT? In the last few
