Any males with raised prolactin treated it on its own?
Hi All, Undiagnosed 28 year old male here, not on any thyroid meds. I'm in process of getting more tests ( adrenal, rt3) to my current thyroid labs, but I had my prolactin come back very high. High prolactin can cause all sorts of sexual symptoms, anyone lowered that directly? I have some prolactin

A few months ago, rheumatologists Dr. Hasan Yazici (in Turkey, considered the world's expert in Behcet's) and his son Dr. Yusuf Yazici (runs the Behcet's Disease Clinic in New York City) taped an interview between themselves discussing Behcet's Disease and its current treatment. The YouTube tape

Ibruprofen changed to Matrifen Transdermal patches fentanyl
Hi all, hope your all having a pain free day or at least less pain than yesterday. I asked the question to every one about my tummy pains on Ibuprofen yesterday and some advised to see my GP . I wanted to let you all know what the outcome was as it may help someone else in the same predicament. Well

I am on an emotional roller coaster
I have been an emotional wreck this week and in a lot of abdominal pain. On the plus side I have to start the tablets today estradiol valerate to thicken womb lining and scan on 22nd, they said the tablets may cause hormonal changes so I might have mood swings. I feel sorry for hubby because I am bad

Coming off prostap - experiences?
I had my last of 4 monthly prostap injections in January. I felt quite down in the dumps on them. It took a couple of injections to stop everything too. 8 weeks after my last injection pms hit me like a ton of bricks and 3 days later I started my period. I had really bad hot flushes and been sick throughout

It is only my second day without cigarettes and I'm struggling. I have smoked for 60years and was diagnosed with copd 2years ago.
The question I want to ask is:- Has anyone else had problems with nicotine patches? They irritate my skin so much that it itches very badly. I want to try to persevere this time as I've tried to give up smoking before and I know the patches take away the craving but sometimes find the itching unbearable

she has agreed to give me all of the tests people on this group have recommended so thank you all so much. I wouldn't have known what to ask for without your support. She does however seem very set on the ranges being set in stone and this is a little worrying. The reason she agreed to the additional

At first it was patches ,gum and lozenges for those that attempted escape from their nicotine addiction, it is now becoming e cigarettes that are taking this desperate market being persuaded that it is not necessary for them to quit as there are no dangers with this product. Other treatments for Behcet's
I don't see many people here mention that they've been on Trental (pentoxifylline) for Behcet's ulcerations, arthritis, and fatigue. It's inexpensive and has mild anti-TNFa properties like the biologics (Enbrel, Remicade, Humira, etc.), with fewer side effects and little risk. Low-dose nicotine patches

Bioidentical hormone replacement therapy
When one of my docs suggested adding a topical progesterone cream to help me through perimenopause, I agreed, gave it a whirl, and learned to love that cream! I had more energy, my mood stabilized and the frequency and severity of the a fibs which run in my Father's family was reduced. But after

test results, part 2: any help greatly appreciated
Hi again everyone, I have some further test results which I hope you would be able to advise me on. Apparently the ones that were lacking from last time (thyroid antibodies, free t3, b12 and iron) were just delayed. I did not manage to obtain a copy of my results for those, but when I spoke with

A question for those using nicotine patches
Hullo! When it comes to the time where you should drop down to the smaller patches does it feel any different? Do you feel like the smaller amount of nicotine makes you crave cigs more, or send you into moods? I will be on my 8th week next week and I am really starting to get panicky about it :( xx
