Hi, After my initial blood tests (listed in my previous post) 2 weeks ago showed hypothyroidism and iron deficient anemia my gp ordered some additional tests to establish the cause. These were taken at 8:45am in the morning fasted. Please could you help me interpret what they mean? If they are ‘normal

Estrogen vs ADT?
I've read 5 recent papers that discuss the use of estrogen as an alternative treatment to ADT (Lupron, etc.). The new data looks very favorable. A bit of history. Huggins discovered this effect around 1941-44, and he found that high doses of estrogen (estradiol) efficiently castrated men, which

When to apply Oestrogen gel
Hello there I recently switched from the
Estradot
patches
to Oestrogel as I wasn’t absorbing the patches well. I am now struggling to find a consistent time to put on the gel. When i work from home I will exercise in the morning, so shower twice.

Hashimotos - understanding latest blood test results - any advice for next steps?
Hi all, my partner (44F) has been struggling with hypothyroid / possible PCOS symptoms for ~18 months (thinning hair all over, some hirsutism and weight gain). She was diagnosed with Hashimotos in October 2022. We have been trying an approach to tackle both the thyroid issues and the hyperandrogenism

PSA suppression
My PSA lows tend to be around 3.3, and it occurs to me that some might think it odd that I don't drive it lower. I think it is very common for men on ADT to draw too much comfort from a significant PSA reduction, if not a near-zero PSA. I have witnessed men misinterpret a dramatic drop in PSA as

Thin womb lining
Hi 👋 We are about to start our second round of IVF. I had my scan today and my womb lining is only 4.5 after 13 days of Estradiol. I have to go back for another scan on Friday, but if it’s not thickened up by then they will have to cancel this cycle. Has anyone else been in this situation? Thanks

Perimenopause and Venlafaxine?
Hi all I'm 45 years old and have been on HRT (Estradiol + Utrogestan) for a year now. My main symptoms used to be mood swings, night sweats, difficulty to sleep through and hot flushes, which are mostly gone since I've been taking the tablet + applying the gel. The only side effect is that I've put

HRT Questions
I wondered if any members could recommend or suggest good bioidentical HRT products. I've been on HRT for nearly 7 years. I went into menopause very abruptly after I came off the pill. A lot of weird health issues reared their head at the same time and I admit I wasn't very well at the time. I've mentioned

Advice about recent NDT thyroid blood tests and high SHBG
Hi there! Is there any connection between high SHBG and taking NDT thyroid medication? I've been feeling better than ever on my Erfa thyroid medication and I don't feel over medicated at all, but I had high SHBG. My estradiol also seems high. I've read that one reason for high SHBG can be hyperthyroidism

Androstenedione & Frailty
New study from Spain [1]. For many years, I used a product that probably contained DES (diethylstilbestrol) - perhaps 1 mg? My QoL was very good. When I eventually migrated to 3 mg DES - plus a shot of testosterone cypionate every 3 months - I began to feel frail. The new study associates high

Anybody with PD using nicotine patches?
My husband with PD asked me to ask my friends on HU whether any have used nicotine patches. His MD prescribed some to try. But husband hasn't filled the Rx. So, if you've tried them what do you think. Did they help with energy or anything? What's the dose? And do you take them on a schedule? Any
