ADT & Addback Estradiol.
New Australian study below [1]. I remember reading old writings years ago that stated that, while women needed estradio [E2] for bone health, men only needed testosterone [T]. Made no sense, of course - why would there be two mechanisms? Men who had osteoporosis & very low T, also had low estradiol

Synthetic HRT?
My gynaecologist suggested we try Femoston 2/10 for hot flushes. Has anyone tried this or a similar drug? For the past few years, I've been on Oestrogel and Utrogestan prescribed by Hertoghe doctor, but the hot flushes have been getting worse lately and therefore my gynaecologist suggested we try Femoston

Soy question
So I have learned here that Genistein is allegedly good for us and estradiol is allegedly bad. Both are found in soy. I also eat a totally plant based diet and worry about getting enough protein if I eliminate soy products. Thoughts, suggestion?

FSH levels. Too high?
Hi everyone. I was hoping for some advice. I've just picked up some blood test results from my GP ahead of consultation with clinic tomorrow for our second ivf cycle. My fsh has come back as 9.9. Although this says it's within the normal range, I've got a feeling this is on the high side. It was 6.7

Fibromyalgia Symptoms but Vitamin D Deficient - relief!
Hi All, I've been experiencing symptoms as those described for Lupus and Fibromyalgia for some time now - building up over the last 2 years. My GP surgery has a system that allows you to see any GP within the practice, so I've seen 7 GPs within that time frame, but only seeing the last one (a trainee

FSH 14.7 on day 2
Hello, Anyone have similar results? Maximum is 8. I think (not sure though) that my oestradiol level is within range and my LH is also. Does high FSH indicate infertility?

Low Testosterone or Depression
Hi, 45 yr male going through a rough patch with depression, severe stress, cognitive and libido issues. GP is firmly in the "you have health anxiety and this is depression" camp, which I am prone to, but I decided to get my androgens checked (again). My total T in August 2017 was 24.7 n/mol but Jan

Estrogen and Androgen Blockade for Advanced PCa.
New paper below [1]. Something of a curiosity, since many continue to deny that estrogen can be involved in PCa. Some may recall that I recommend a low-dose estradiol [E2] patch for bone health, if ADT brings E2 under 12 pg/mL - so a complete E2 blockade isn't a good idea. However: "Recently, estrogen
