2nd Dose..Vaccination..more chance of a reaction?
Although very highly allergic, with an
epipen
,chronic asthmatic with other severe medical conditions,I had the Phizer. I had a clot a few years ago, and coupled with the ingredients, they couldn't/ wouldn't give me the Astra Zeneka. I was fine with my 1st Phizer vacc. Best wishes..

Has anyone experienced Anaphylactic LIKE allergic reaction to Prednisalone? as being an EpiPen holder has sadly delayed my Covid Vaccine.
Dr. prescribed an
EpiPen
and Cetirizine Hydrochloride. He referred me to Addenbrooks. I was tested for food allergies etc. and diagnosed attacks were idiopathic (unexplained).

COVID-19 vaccine
These individuals carried an
EpiPen
and use of the pen was sufficient to counteract the allergic reaction. It is anticipated that these reactions will be very rare given that such safety issues were not seen in the large clinical trial.

Peanut allergy
Because only one parent could go it was just me and they threw so much info at me it was hard to take in along with training me to use an
epipen
. Has anyone got any advice or know reliable sources to read up about this sort of thing.

Injections, hope this makes you smile
Anyway I read instructions on pamphlet and filled in the information like date and how much to preload
epipen
too. All good. I pinched my skin, pressed the button, counted to 5, took out and it was done. Easy, weird but easy, a little prick but fine. I can handle this!!

CKD with ANEMIA and STARTING RETACRIT
Hi everyone, I'm new here but certainly not new to CKD. The anemia started in 2008 and would come and go and attributed it to working for a cancer physician where getting lunch on a heavy chemotherapy patient day was next to impossible, and sometimes leaving work at a decent hour was out of the question

How to Tell the Difference Between COVID-19 and Seasonal Allergies
If you’re dealing with food allergies, make sure you have a good supply of the right foods, and have a second
EpiPen
on hand in case you need it—no need to stockpile, though! - The same goes for asthma; make sure you have an extra inhaler.

Shielding and self injecting
I’ve been told they are auto injectors, similar to an
epipen
, so hopefully it will come with easy to follow directions ‘stab, click, hold, remove’ etc 😅 (if not I have an ex-nurse friend who has offered to stab me if needs be 😂) So she’s setting up the system so it can be delivered to me (and then

Just had a diagnosis of Bronchiectasis
I have been told I need to carry an
epipen
now. I’ve been quite unwell for a while and in some ways it’s a relief to finally know what’s wrong with me. I’ve been fobbed off by so many GPs I’ve lost count so I’m hoping this side of things might improve. But I’ve got to say, it’s a lot to take in.

Wasp sting allergy
Told asthma nurse who said it was borderline anaphylactic reaction and I might need
epipen
. GP said no when he asked though. Last week was stung again. Only one sting on the end of my thumb as opposed to more contact when caught under my arm last time. Started swelling and throbbing straightaway.

Diarrhea concerns
I’m pre-dialysis and on Epogen due to having anemia. My concern is that I have severe bouts of diarrhea that will come on suddenly without much warning. What can I do to stem the tide, so to speak, to feel somewhat normal?
