Has anyone else’s LO got a peanut allergy? Florence had skin prick test on Thursday after having to start all over again because of Covid! She came up allergic to peanut, sesame seed, walnut, eggs and chives. Because only one parent could go it was just me and they threw so much info at me it was hard to take in along with training me to use an epipen.
Has anyone got any advice or know reliable sources to read up about this sort of thing. Feeling a bit emotional about it all and worried about her getting fed it by accident 😫 xx
I’m just waiting on the clinic letter to see how much info that has before I ring the GP. I know the letters come through pretty quick as I work in a GP surgery but just wanted some extra reading materials for in the meantime 😬.
She was tested over a year ago for allergies because of reactions eg hives and breathlessness and already had eczema. Unfortunately because of covid we didn’t get through all the ward challenges and they became out of date so had to start all over again! Some allergies had got worse in that time from borderline to an actual allergy. She wasn’t tested for peanut last time but I happened to ask this time because a FB friends child had a reaction so made me paranoid but thank goodness I asked! Xx
