Epanutin

I took epanutin then phenotoyin (sorry, can’t remember the spelling) for 56 years. My left leg is now useless, the drug killed the nerves and I cannot walk, even at home, without at least one walking stick. The specialist changed my medication to save my right leg!

I am been taken off Lamictal and will be put on Epanutin, I forgot to mention to my Epilepsy Specialist that I have Shingles [not at the moment] would that clash with the Epanutin, with skin rashes?

A drug used for epilepsy branded as Epanutin was unbranded in 2013, phentyoin sodium. The cost to the NHS has shot up from £2.3 million in 2013 to £50 million. This drug is not on the governments list to be removed due to cost. Because it is seen as essential. As we know t3 is.

Hi , I have a GT gamma reading of 300 and ALT 38, I take Epanutin 400gm daily,my doctor said that it is the Epanutin which is impacting on the gamma reading .I take Epanutin as i had 3 gran mall sizesures ,the last one more then 10 years ago .i drink about 10 pints over the week and go to the gym 4 days

Had an ecg last week and it was brachycardic, taking Epanutin, phenobarbuital forcontrolled seizures and warfarin. Happens after eating in the evening, feeling goes through chest, throat and left side of face

Although it controls my epilepsy, I have now painful feet and legs. Doctors have mentioned it could be neuropathy due to long term drug Phenytoin. anyone else come across this.
