On going investigation.
If the capsule
endoscopy
comes back normal should Gastroenterology be investigating bam/bad? I'm hoping the capsule
endoscopy
shows something. Has anyone been in a similar situation? Thank you for reading.

Positive FIT, Negative Colonoscopy and Endoscopy but very Anaemic
They found I had blood in my stool as I had a positive FIT result of 34 but when I had a colonoscopy and
endoscopy
they couldn't find anything wrong. Anyone else had similar? Thanks!

Back after 10 years of remission (Safe Bloating & constipation relief)
At the time I went through the usual blood tests, an
endoscopy
given the diagnosis then was prescribed steroids for a short while and Octasa as the ongoing treatment. The treatment went well, extremely well and after a couple of weeks my symptoms had pretty much vanished.

Got to take the wins!
He has booked me in for an
endoscopy
and biopsies. I wasn’t even planning to ask for a celiac test but he wants to do that too. He rolled his eyes when I said my gp keeps trying to give me PPIs. I’m so relieved and I didn’t even have to use my PowerPoint slide!

Alcoholic liver disease is a strong predictor of colorectal polyps in liver transplant recipients
In January this year, following a routine blood test by my GP. It highlighted low ferritin levels. After having completed a Fit-Test (faecal haemoglobin test), blood was found in the sample. I later went and had a CT Colonography. This highlighted four polyps in my colon. After a lot of messing around

I am so fed up and very anxious that my body can’t produce a ‘normal’ stool
This year I had a pill camera
endoscopy
as I also suffer from upper issues. All came back ok but my symptoms have gradually become worse since 2019 and showing no signs of abating. I suffer almost daily now with just 2/3 ‘good’ days per month (I have no idea what brings these good days).

Check Your Ferritin
Long story very short, no bleeding source was found via colonoscopy
endoscopy
(I was due anyway) and within a month or so my Ferritin returned to normal.

Worried Newbie
I've recently had a colonoscopy and

Questions for Hematologist?
I have been referred to do a colonoscopy and
endoscopy
to look for sources of bleeding to cause the low iron. But I don’t feel strong enough for those procedures. Hoping the hematologist will shed new light? Perhaps look at a fresh slide of blood? Thoughts? Thanks in advance.

Can I request a capsule endoscopy instead of a colonoscopy?
But could I request a capsule
endoscopy
to be done, or is that reserved for further explorations if needed? I'm in the UK btw. Thanks all

IV Steroids before Endoscopy/Colonoscopy
I have been started on iv steroids but have been booked in for an
endoscopy
and colonoscopy to get a full view early next week. Will this mean the dr’s won’t be able to see the true extent of the inflammation during the camera test as the steroids have already started to work??

Three years down the road. Question re gut health
Told gut health is not good at last
endoscopy
and have gastritis. Does this go hand in hand with PA. I can only think this is the reason for persistent fatigue and mood dips since everything else has been tested and I live a fairly healthy lifestyle.

atrophic gastritis pernicious anaemia
Dear group I had the results of
endoscopy
. Nothing at fault but confirmed atrophic gastritis pernicious anaemia-which I think is good news considering what it could be. Question - does AG cause PA. Or does PA cause AG ?

diagnosis and symptoms
I was given a PA diagnosis based on IF and PCA testing. I was not told to remain off B12 for at least 2 weeks before testing so may have false positive. My endoscopies are clear with no damage. My GI doc says that it’s possible that PA had not damaged my stomach and that I’m confusing autoimmune
