SVT treatment

Slow recovery
I'm new to this this site. I am 12 days out from having a cardiac ablation. I feel, it is taking me longer to "feel like myself" then what I read on the internet. Still feel discomfort in my chest and shoulder blades. Still feel breathless. Is it too much rest? Prescribed 80 mg of omeprazole which

Recent diagnosis of Paroxysmal AF and underlining Lown-Ganong-Levine (LGL) syndrome
Hello all, I haven't written on here before but thought I would see if anyone knows some further information then what I could find on Google... ( which has not been helpful) At the end of January this year I ended up in hospital with AF. My resting heart rate was around 160 bpm and irregular, normally

Cardiac Ablation for Frequent PVC and PACs - 6 Weeks out and struggling
Hello! I am new here, 28F, and 6 weeks post-ablation. I am told my ablation was a success, since they weren't able to duplicate the PVCs, PACs, and NSVT. However, I have had an awful recovery and I'm looking for some advice as to whether or not this is normal. I've been to my physician's office countless

Is this phrenic nerve damage?
Hi all I had catheter ablation for AF last July ( UK - NHS). Whole thing was a dogs dinner, the pain was unbelievable. In the evening had spectacular hiccups and terrible reflux - had to sleep on my back propped up on pillows or drown in my last meal. Two days later back in hospital with total heart

Anxieties about procedure for CRT D
I had a dual chamber pacemaker implanted together with AV node ablation 2 years ago after many years of horrendous AF episodes and 5 failed ablations. I had an appointment at the BHI in Bristol in January and after climbing the several flights of stairs I had an episode of struggling to breathe and

Take forever to recover from illness
Hello everyone I've had an underactive thyroid since 1998 and I take Levothyroxine 125 mcg daily. This is my first post here. So my query is, every time I get ill it takes me forever to recover my full vitality. I'm very sporty (running, cycling, weight training hiking etc) and it drives me mad that

Cardiac ablation
Hi, already one whole month since I had the cardiac ablation procedure and I haven't had bad AF episodes since then, now I'm only getting short not too strong flutterings. I had been feeling very anxious about the procedure but everything went well and I was able to go home after about 2 hours rest

CRT Pacemaker and AV Ablation
After four lots of Cardioversion, two lots of Catheter Ablation and multiple meds, which are either ineffective or make me feel 'strange', I have been listed to have a Cardiac Resynchronisation Therapy Pacemaker fitted, followed by AV Ablation. It's more than a bit scary because, once the AV node has

Tachycardia causes AF?
Just came across an interesting article with the hypothesis that sustained high heart rate may rewire the heart to cause AF. https://heart.bmj.com/content/80/6/533?ijkey=ae1a07a271518dd8fa53091b6be36327e3cd97bb&keytype2=tf_ipsecsha Atrial fibrillation in the structurally normal human heart: a hypothesis

Waiting list
Looking for views on AV node ablation and pacemaker which has been suggested as I have been on waiting list for an ordinary ablation for so long that they think it may not work.

Enjoying life ..
Just a little update , since getting my pacemaker in sept 2020 and AV node ablation 4 weeks later , I am loving life right at this moment , as you can see I’m getting out there a bit more each day , I don’t care what weather is I’m out . I’m not saying it’s been all plain sailing as I have a sore shoulder
