1st Post on my lung condition, sorry if very long post.
Because of different symptoms she said I have very mild copd, I think
emphysema
as something to do with lung sacks? Also have asthma as dust effects me. She was not too worried about copd as very mild then again it always starts off very mild.

Anyone with Very Severe COPD had a CT Guided Biopsy?
At a follow up appointment my specialist said that it was possible Lung Cancer but due to severity of the COPD/
Emphysema
(FEV21%), it was far too risky to do a biopsy.

Ventolin question
I have
emphysema
/asthma and am on 3 inhalers, Spiriva Respimat, Symbicort and Ventolin. The Ventolin seems to help the most with my breathing (I think). What I'm wondering is how much and how often can I use it? My lung doc says 2 puffs every 4 hours as needed.

Need some advice
I was recently diagnosed with mild
emphysema
but the shortness of breath is really bad. Anyone experience this? I am a 52 year old ex smoker but smoked since my teens. I have quit now from the day this started on Sept 1 and am sure I will never light up again.

COPD vs Asthma diagnosis
I was just wondering if anyone out there has had a cat scan that looks like you have bronchitis and
emphysema
yet your doctor insists you do not have COPD and that you have severe asthma?

Hello
I got the results of the ct scan that showed i had extreme
emphysema
. The
emphysema
isnt causing too many problems, i just get breathless if walking up a bit of a incline, or walking on the level but carrying anything that is quite heavy.

GP's withholding Consultants diagnosis!
In a previous post I explained how my GP has a policy of concealing Consultants diagnosis from his patients, and I only discovered that had
Emphysema
, and Pulmonary Fibrosis last December by chance, when I sneaked a look at the COPD nurses computer!

FEV1/FVC Improvement!
Although I know I have
emphysema
as it has shown on a CT scan that I had in October. Other than that I am keeping well – I have not smoked for a year now and have no mucus or any trouble walking long distances.

They recon due to my bullous
emphysema
if they try to get biopsies it would most likely cause the lung to collapse and they might not be able to save the lung.

Apixaban & Collagen Hydrolysate
My dad suffers from
emphysema
which has now got to the stage where he’s out of breath just eating. He’s getting so skinny and frail. I’m just wondering if anyone knows whether it’s safe for him to take collagen hydrolysate while he’s on Apixaban?

Adrift in a sea of confusion
What I'm asking is, does or has anyone else who had mild/moderate
emphysema
/asthma feel almost as if they are dying? I went to rehab today for the first time in a month and I felt that I would pass out while walking on the track. I just don't know what's going on.
